Happy Birthday John-John!
7 Years old today!
Johnnie came to live with me when he was 3 years old.
He was a broken dog.
All he knew was dog shows and living in crates.
He had no conception of how to play and how to just "be a dog".
Today, his heart is devoted to me (and his Collie Sister) Tess.
He has discovered the "Joy of Toys" and he is Always very willing to be obedient (with not 100% results) but the Love and "eager to please" drive is very strong.
My Beautiful Johnnie has a 6-generation pedigree!
He was imported from Belgium when he was about 8 weeks old.
He got a good start in his confirmation career, but it was very evident,from the beginning, that he would be unable to compete at the AKC standards.
He showed his displeasure when he lifted a lip at a judge.
That was when he was rehomed with Me!
Today, at age 7, he is one of the happiest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
He has "Happy Tail" that never stops moving, from each moment we arise every day!
The only exception is that HE has to pick the person he makes into his friend.
I have found that Johnnie is an EXCELLENT judge of character, in spite of that, he LOVES EVERYBODY,
Be prepared to meet a friendly 85+ lb Wolf when he approaches you!
His Love of All People is Sincere.
His only fault is that he does NOT like every single dog that he meets.
He has NEVER gotten into a fight with another dog, but he Does like to intimidate other dogs.
I keep him firmly leashed in these unpredictable occasions.
Today, my love for my John-John has no bounds!
He is a Fine, Beautiful and Intelligent Dog!
He is a credit to his breed and to his species!
Thank You Moshe and Eileen for allowing me to have this beautiful friend into my life!

My Sweet Tess LOVES to "tunnel"!
One of her nicknames is "Tango Tunnel Tess"! ;)
When I say "tunnel" I mean that she LOVES to run between my legs and she has always done this since she came to live with me, 6 years ago.
It's a wonder that she hasn't knocked me to the floor because she will "tunnel" with or without a command and she always makes me laugh!
Here is another video of a beautiful Collie who also likes to "tunnel"!

"Wicked Games" which has always been one of my favorites!

Yes! It's True!
October 1st is National Black Dog Day!
To My John-John...
With Love!
John-John has a National Holiday
It is True!
October 1st is officially National Black Dog Day!
John-John (aka Robinson Des Terres/ Les Terres Bergeres kennel).
In spite of a 6-generation pedigree, in spite of the months/years of training and shows, in spite of his beauty and perfect conformation, my Good Boy Johnnie is NOT a champion show dog.
This makes no difference to Johnster the Monster or to me.
We love each other deeply and have come to a complete understanding and meaningful relationship (I tell him what to do and he does it)
With one exception, he does NOT want to be handled by a stranger.
John-John is a beautiful, happy dog.
He is friendly too! He will approach any one and put his head right in their lap. This friendliness is based on HIS rules. He will NOT allow any stranger to lay a hand on him unless HE chooses THEM!
He is absolutely spoiled but he is also trained to obey the 5 basic rules of dog training (Come, Sit, Down, Stay & Heel plus a few basic tricks/Sit-Up, Spin ... etc.
Best of all...
He makes me laugh every day!

My Sweet Tess accidently pinched me because she was SO excited to see me, her 'teefs' were chattering! ( she had been outside for about two hours). ;)

Quessie!
Even though we only had 5 short years together, she quickly became one of my "heart dogs".
Until I met Quessie, I had never experienced the absolute and total devotion that a dog can give to a person!

You gave me a lesson about love and devotion that I had not known! 🥰
