Happy Foster a Pet Month! 🐾 Fostering saves lives — and sometimes, it changes yours too. Here’s Lionel’s story, told by his foster-turned-forever mom: "After moving to Colorado, I wanted to get involved in the community and started volunteering with Animal Rescue of the Rockies. That’s how I met Lionel — a shy but lovable pup rescued from a heartbreaking situation in New Mexico with his siblings. I offered to foster-sit him for a weekend, and despite a few potty-training hiccups, I completely fell for him. Financially, I wasn’t sure if adopting him was the right move, but in my heart, I knew he was the one. After a few more visits and lots of encouragement from friends, I officially Lionel on June 30, 2024. Since then, Lionel’s life (and mine) has been filled with love, adventure, and weekly playdates with his siblings Astro and Moxie. We’re still hoping to reconnect with their fourth sibling someday, but for now, our little trio is thriving — and Lionel’s become the heart of my home."
