As you may know, I'm running for one of the three open seats on the NFHR board. I'm retired from the health insurance industry and currently compete my fjord in dressage and FEI level Combined Driving. I'm a huge fan of the breed, most especially its versatility and friendliness.
At this critical time in the NFHR's existence, I think it is important to have a board that is willing to work together in ways that focus on the process, not the personalities, as well as people who have a proven track record working on teams/projects in a business setting. When I was on the NFHR candidate forum, listening to the other candidates, I felt that Steve Sessoms and Denny Cox best portrayed those characteristics and work history.
I'll attach a copy of my remarks made on the candidate forum last week to this page, but you can also access the entire recorded session on the NFHR website so you can make an informed decision about the future of the NFHR. But remember, first you have to vote!
