Welcome back Felix (now Charlie)!!!! Charlie was the last dog adopted from the shop and his owners are having another baby and have decided that they don't have the time to devote to this awesome fur baby. Charlie is 2 1/2 years old and is a puggle mix with the cutest nub tail and underbite. He is truly the whole package. He is about 18 lbs, fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, house broken, crate and leash trained, LOVES kids of all ages (he slept in the room with the baby at his previous house), likes cats and enjoys making friends his own size at the dog park. He has also done well with meeting strangers and even got to dine out at a restaurant today! Negatives? He is a little overweight (about 2lbs) and he has a high pitched bark, but he rarely uses it. He is sq**rt bottle trained, which means that if he is displaying a "negative" behavior (like barking at a dog while on his leash...this has happened once) all you have to do is show him the sq**rt bottle and he stops. He is a big time lap cuddler and would do great as a short distance running partner (2-3 miles). He has lived in an apartment so he is used to going on walks, but he has been frolicking in my backyard for a couple of days and does great there too. He doesn't need to be crated, but enjoys hangin in his "house" and will go in if you ask him to. It is super important that this guy find his perfect happy ending. He is doing well with this shakeup but we don't ever want him to go through it again. Please share this, feel free to ask questions via Facebook message or email Emily at [email protected]
