✨long line sniffy walks✨ are a great icebreaker for dogs when in a new place.

The limited restriction and free reign to sniff gives them ample time to investigate and process. After 20-30 minutes of sniffing, your dog will be mentally tuckered out and ready for a nap!

Some pups just want to problem solve, figure things out and it looks like this sweet little girl did it with opening her crate.

I would enforce some more enrichment and definitely put some carabiners on those doors to prevent this from happening again.

Y'all ✨ quality sleep ✨ is important for both babies AND puppies.

Make sure you can get at least one quality nap (one hour) in the crate.

This keeps the zoomies and nipping to a minimum. These issues are symptoms of being overtired which is common for puppies.
Most puppies need 16-20 hours of sleep!

✨ Is your dog reactive? ✨

I love incorporating groundwork 🐾 into my training, especially for a dog like Haley 🐶, border collie mix, who is high energy and very intelligent 💪.

Along with her body working through the course, her brain 🧠 is connecting to her owner through mental work ❤️.

This helps to redirect her former reactive energy ⚡️ into positive working energy 💪.
