Blue Spruce Meadow Blue Spruce Meadow is a small hobby farm nestled on the edge of Madison County in Bowman, Georgia.

It started as personal pasture space for my 2 mares, a rescue and a mustang, and is slowly evolving into a small hobby farm.

📢The front, road facing fence is finally going up!
Before the cold weather sets in, it's imperative I get this line completed since the majority of the holes are in rock.
After post are finished setting, all perimeter fencing will consist of 5-foot galvanized metal mesh wire with 2x6 boards at the top and bottom of the mesh. At the very top of the post and right above the ground, the finishing component of the fencing will be smooth hot wire to serve 3 purposes:
1️⃣ To discourage small critters from crawling under the bottom board but allow water to continue it's natural course of the land, avoiding mud buildup.
2️⃣ To discourage horses from grazing under the bottom board.
3️⃣ To discourage horses from socializing over the top of the fence line (or jumping in the case of future mustangs)

‼The total height of the fences meet the required 6-foot height per government standards for gentled AND ungentled animals

Been a long time since I posted any updates around the farm.
So, here we are!

Finally got a portion of the fencing up. This section doubles as horse fencing and the dog yard that surrounds the house! 5 feet tall metal mesh wire panels keep the dogs in and other animals out. This is also the government required height for mustang 🐎 yearlings. The remainder of the horse fencing will be 6 feet tall, which is the requirement for any mustangs 🐎 older than yearlings.

And my last small improvement was upgrading some of the landscaping around the logs out front🏡
