Nala is back for another Board&Train to work on building her impulse control skills and leash walking manners. She gets very distracted and pulls heavily out on leash so we've simplified things for her and you can see she's starting to get the hang of walking at a more relaxing pace as well as walking away from exciting distractions like the toy on the ground or other people (aka potential friends). Great job, Nala!

Buster has been working with me on reducing his reactivity to noises outside his front door. He's also been sharpening up his foundational skills and now getting ready to welcome a new baby (human) into the family. Big changes on the horizon, but this boy is lucky to have a committed family who love him to bits. Teamwork makes dreamwork!

I had the privilege of bringing Finn with me as my assistant demo/distraction dog to a few recent appointments with a dog who is reactive to other dogs/people. Finn did a beautiful job relaxing and moving around when I needed him to. The meeting was wonderfully successful and we're seeing a lot of progress with the dog who is struggling with reactivity. In the last picture you can see our set up with the reactive dog (and his mom) behind the fence. This is the closest we've been able to get with that dog still maintaining his composure and focusing on his mom. Great success!

Shaggy has been learning how to feel more relaxed around dogs/people/vehicles while on leash. This sweet guy is also learning how to express his nervous energy is constructive ways when off leash. Sniffing indoors and out is a great way to burn energy and keep a dog's mind stimulated.
