Borderline Psychos Dog Training & Sport Handling

Board & trains are bittersweet; atleast for me. I have your dog for a set number of weeks and I get to see them open their eyes and realize the world. I get to experience them and love them like my own. I get to see them mature and grow and flip the switches on and then they go home. The “graduation” comes and they go back to live their lives with their humans. It’s so very rewarding, but there’s moments I miss all of them.

Molly will be no exception. She’s been such a joyous little puppy with so much personality and so much love and wonder about the world!

She graduates today from her Board & Train and I’m truly going to miss her!

What a weekend at Westrover!! We had so much success getting so many new dogs started and advancing in the pool this weekend! I’m so proud of all the dogs and their owners who came out!

Every single dog made amazing progress! From first timers to competition dogs, Everyone outdid themselves!!

I cannot wait to be back!

My next classes at Westrover are June 13th and 14th and are now open for booking!

Molly had her first official session with Mr. P the training kitty! They both thought each other were pretty cool and wanted to play but our goal is to lay the foundation for Molly to ignore enticing things like cats and focus on her owner!

Board & train Molly and I had a great session today with several AHA! Moments!

We worked up and down the excitement scale and regulating quickly while working her sit, down, place, and recall as well as a turn and a spin for fun!

She’s handled training so well!

And also the elephant in the room.. your clumsy trainer fell off a ladder yesterday and had a pretty deep cut from the fall, hence the bandage on my leg. I’m fine.. just a couple of bruises and a deep gash and a little sore, but nothing is broken and life goes on!

I’m thankful for the clients who were understanding about me rescheduling today’s lessons, and happy to report I’ll be back to it tomorrow! Just going to take the day to work on some bookwork and let my body rest!

We’re still recovering from a very busy weekend but I want to take a moment to brag on all the dogs this weekend!

Bo now has all three invites to Regionals after earning his Distance invite this weekend! He also got to bring home his HARD Charger award he got at last years Regionals!

Charlie, owned by Kirsten and William Leach, got her Hydrodash invite this weekend! She already had a Distance invite from the previous qualifier.

Chip earned his Hydrodash Regional invite this weekend, the only one he doesn’t have so far is Distance but we’re teetering on two classes and he’s been doing this two months.. little dude is a dream! He also earned his Dock Senior Title this weekend!

Clover Ada, owned by Kaleigh Pledger Hickman now has all three of her invites! And she’s a Veteran this year! I’m so very proud of her dedication and love for dock diving! She’s been a natural, but getting to refine that and help her reach her potential has been so rewarding!

Havoc, owned by Maddie Sims-Gramling, did some awesome work on the dock! She already had her Distance invite from earlier in the year, but watching Maddie and Emma work with her and make that connection on the dock is so rewarding!

Lex had a fun weekend! He already has his Distance and Hydrodash invites this year! He got to do a distance and Hydrodash jump this weekend! We’re training for the Air Retrieve

Nova (owned by Beau & Amber Bridwell) was a rockstar! She’s already earned her Hydrodash invite and is still working towards Distance and Air Retrieve invites! Nova loves to chase bees and birds and butterflies on the dock still and always gets blessed with a friend joining her for her splashes 😂

Tate earned his Hydrodash Junior title this weekend as well as his Distance invite for Regionals! We have a few things to work on but he’s been so consistent!

And the star of the weekend!

Ziva earned her Distance Regional Invite meaning she has all three invites! she also earned her Air Retrieve Master Title AND completed the 4.5 mile One World Canine Obstacle Run!
