Who We Are:
Pet Poo Skiddoo began in the Spring of 2015 with t
he idea of offering WNC an Eco-Friendly option to disposing of people's pet waste through the power of composting. You might not think much of how much dog p**p actually goes into the landfills. We found that a staggering 20 Billion Pounds of Dog Waste ends up in landfills each year - and that number is only increasing. There are many businesses out there that will offer to scoop your yard, but then only to unload it all at a landfill. We are one of a handful in the entire country that both scoops up the poo and composts it too! The two main services we offer are Yard Scooping and Bin Pickup. Have dogs? we'll scoop your yard. Have cats (or prefer to scoop your own yard), gather the waste in a bin for us to pick up on a regular basis. We also offer compostable cat litter and dog waste bags at a discount exclusively to our clients. We have a private facility in Black Mountain where we use a method of in-vessel composting - meaning all pet waste gathered is placed inside a closed container to keep smells and pathogens contained. During the process, the waste heats up to release excess nitrogen, kill off pathogens, and in the end leaves behind a humus that is rich in nutrients and beneficial to the soil. We sell our finished product as a fertilizer, called Critter Dirt!
