My personal horse, Nala, got a fancy new pair of shoes for Christmas this year.
This is my first application of the EasyCare Inc. Protective Hoofwear Triple D using Hooflox natural acrylic and Luwex DIM.

Living in the mud pit that is WNC this time of year makes booting 24/7 ridiculous in some pastures, so I'm excited that so far she's liking the texture, "squish-ability", and the sole relief this shoe provides. Excited to see how it wears overtime!

Being a full time college student and part time hoof care provider sometimes means that my personal horse has to deal with shoe reset shenanigans at 9:00pm. It was well worth the late night to help my favorite red head stay comfortable! ✨❤️

I'm super pleased with the direction that this thoroughbred's hooves are headed. This was James Bond's third Glue-on application with me after previously having been in open-heeled, traditional metal shoes. His owner was worried about how frequently he was losing shoes and the amount of hoof wall that would come off with the nails.

Notable Improvements:
*The angle of the coronary band is less steep as the back of his hoof is starting to develop more functional structures.
*The hoof capsule itself is less pulled forward. At each trim I've focused on opening and backing the heel up without sacrificing heel height. Previously, heels were run forward and crushed enough that upon trimming the bars there were multiple pockets of dirt under curled hoof wall!
*As the frog improves and heel contraction lessens, the thrush levels are immensely better.
*If you look at the first centimeter or so of new hoof growth, you'll notice it's growing at a more up right angle.
