✨🐓 Exciting Things Are Happening at The Happy Homestead! 🐓✨

We’ve got a busy and inspiring lineup over the next few weeks, and we’d love for you to be part of it:

📍 September 6th – Catch us at Link Farms Flockswap in Augusta, GA! We’ll be bringing some of our feathered beauties to share with fellow bantam lovers.

📍 September 12th – We’re honored to be an educational vendor at the Piedmont Community Services Recovery Event in Collinsville, VA💛 Some of our best babies will be with us to show how animals can play a powerful role in mental health and the road to recovery.

📍 September 13th – Supporting our community means everything to us. We’ll be attending and contributing items/info to the Adam Frazier Cancer Benefit in the Asheboro NC Area🎗️

📍 October 4th – Don’t miss the big one! 🎉 Our very own Bantam Only Flock Swap Extravaganza im Greensboro NC!! This is one of the largest bantam events on the entire East Coast – and it’s going to be amazing. 🐥🌟

Can you guess what they are??? 🤫

Hint: An Ancient Breed of Bantams, popular in England. Quite Rare, with less than 1000 in the world.

The Happy Homestead – Deposit & Holds Policy

At The Happy Homestead, we do our best to make purchasing birds a smooth and fair process for both our customers and our flock. Please review our deposit and hold guidelines below:

Pickup Window
• Birds must be picked up within 48 hours of the time they are claimed.
• If a bird is not picked up within that timeframe, we reserve the right to make it available to the public again.

Deposits & Holds
• A deposit may be placed to secure a bird for up to 10 days.
• Deposits are non-refundable if the bird is not picked up within the agreed timeframe. In this case, the bird will be made available to the public again.
• The deposit amount is 20% of the purchase price and must be made electronically for record-keeping and tracking purposes.

Forfeitures & Future Sales
• If a buyer forfeits a deposit two times, The Happy Homestead reserves the right to refuse future sales to that individual.
• We encourage customers to only place deposits when they are confident in their ability to complete the purchase within the timeframe.

Our Flexibility
• While we maintain these policies to protect our birds and business, we understand that life isn’t always predictable.
• The Happy Homestead holds discretion to adjust deposit amounts, deadlines, or make exceptions when appropriate, and we will do our best to work with our customers.

🐓 The Happy Homestead – Live Bird Shipping Policy

At The Happy Homestead, the health and safety of our birds is our top priority. Please review our live bird shipping policy before placing an order:

📦 Shipping Schedule
• Ship days are Monday and Tuesday only to help ensure birds do not get delayed over weekends.
• Weather permitting: We will only ship when temperatures are safe and suitable for poultry transport.

🐥 Age Requirements
• Birds must be at least 3 months old before they are eligible for shipping.
• While we prefer to wait until 4 months of age for hardiness, 3 months is the minimum.
• Chicks are not eligible for shipping at The Happy Homestead due to their fragility.

🚚 Responsibility & Risk
• Once birds leave our hands, The Happy Homestead is not responsible for their condition upon arrival.
• While rare, it is possible for unfortunate events to occur during the shipping process. Because shipping is outside of our control, we cannot offer refunds or replacements for losses or issues once the birds are in transit.
• Should an issue occur, please file a claim directly with USPS. We will gladly provide supporting documentation to help with your claim.

💰 Payment Policy
• All birds must be paid in full prior to shipping. No exceptions.
