Richard is a 1.5 year old Cane Corso looking for his forever home. He currently lives with and gets along well with 2 Dachshunds. He is a very sweet dog that has had extensive training and needs a slower paced home.
He is still working on his confidence and would not be suited for a home with small children. His ideal home would be a family comfortable with large breeds, a slower paced life and the desire to continue his training and confidence building.
His veterinary care is up to date. Please contact us if you think you may be interested or please share with your friends. He is looking for his unicorn family!

We are here for you!

Like everyone else, we are keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 situation. We will continue with our regularly scheduled hours, but we ask if you have traveled recently or have a fever, cough, or respiratory symptoms, please do not come in. If this is the case, please call when you arrive for your appointment and we will have a staff member come to your car to bring your pet in to be seen. We will exam and administer any meds/vaccines needed while on phone or video chat while you stay in your car. This is for the safety of pet owners and staff members so we are still able to continue treating your pets when they need us. If you would like to be extra cautious, we are happy to provide this curbside service to anyone who would prefer to use it. Please call us if you have any questions.

Our little wobbly cat is still available for adoption! She has become quite the happy and playful cat. She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia which is a neurological condition that affects her balance. She has a very mild case and will not get worse. Cats with CH live long, happy lives. She has actually gotten strong enough to jump on a low bench, but will likely never be able to jump on counters (could this be seen as a major bonus??). Stop by the hospital to meet her or go to hart90.org to fill out an application. Her name is Diamond!

“2 year old Basenji named Clipper. He was abandoned as a puppy so he loves company. He’s about 26lbs, non-shedding, in the “hypoallergenic” category and bark-less. Basenjis don’t bark, he only yodels on occasion. He does well with other small breeds but not so well with larger dogs. He has a lot of energy and loves long walks and any opportunity to run and chase squirrels.”

Rudy is our weight loss challenge winner!!

We first met Rudy, a 7 year old Yorkichon about a year ago. He and his owner had transferred from another vet after learning Rudy had an elevated liver value and he could potentially have the hormonal condition called Cushings Disease.
The owner was devastated but also eager to learn more about this and take measures at home to help him.
At that time Rudy was tipping the scales at 18 lbs and had less energy than his other dogmates. We discussed monitoring of his bloodwork as well as a weight loss plan.
Rudy is the winner of our Weight Loss Challenge, weighing in at a lean 13 lbs. He has great energy now and his bloodwork is impeccable.

Weight makes a huge impact on the health of our furry friends, so good work Rudy and his mom! He has earned his free exams for a year!

Thank you for your service to our pets Dr Margaret Hollis Fortier.
Thank you Dr. Margaret and team for helping us through a very difficult day. We know it weighs on you just as much and for you to make the time during your lunch break to help us lay our beautiful Dylan to rest means the world to us. We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful and caring practice. 🐾🐾
Thank you Dr. Fortier and the amazing employees for seeing our pets this week. We appreciate the efforts you have taken to keep everyone safe during this pandemic, while also providing care for our furbabies. You are all wonderful and very much appreciated!
Congratulations Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital and “High Paw!” to Dr. Margaret Fortier🐾🙌🏻🐾 Nice article!!
I am so impressed by this practice. My dog and I felt at home right away. I believe that Dr. Fortier listened to my concerns and came up with a good plan that we can work with. And I got a follow-up email when I got home. I live right down the street, so could not be more convenient.
Dr. Fortier and her team are amazing. This is our first dog and the office has been so kind to us. We have a lot of questions and we feel so lucky that we found Dr. Fortier! The whole office is so sweet to our pup and the office is so clean and is a joy to come to. We always look forward to our visits! They even write your dogs name on the welcome sign when you come, so cute! We can't thank you enough for taking care of our sweet Wags!!
I think Itty Bitty has fully recovered. Such a funny cat!
I've really been impressed with the veterinary services we have received thus far at Goose Creek. They have been professional and very compassionate and are keen to take a personal interest in the well-being of our two Westies.
