Welp, I guess putting up the new run is officially out of the question today... it’s finally raining! 🌧️☔ It barely EVER rains here, so I’m just gonna sit here, stare out the window and be grateful. Mother Nature said, “You wanted a sign? Here’s a whole weather event.”

My husband and I are heading to Florida in a few weeks ✈️☀️ to visit my family and celebrate my daughter’s graduation 🎓. We’ve been planning and saving for this trip for a year ,sometimes you have to put in the hard work and make time for a little self-love too ❤️. It’s been way too long since I’ve seen my family, and we’re definitely ready for a much-needed vacation!
I’m so blessed to have my kids help out with taking care of so many chickens and chicks 🐥🐓 I wouldn’t be able to go without their help. Our teenagers will be staying home with my mother-in-law ❤️, taking care of the animals, and they’ll be heading out on their own three-week trip ✈️ about a week after we get back from Florida.

My cat managed to unplug the incubator, but thankfully I think it was only off for a day because it started beeping. I can still see movement in the eggs, so fingers crossed they pull through and hatch! These are Mottled Houdans I won.

I bought some Serama eggs from Keri's kikiriki's in California - they arrived today! They traveled from California to Kentucky to Tennessee then to Texas! All in 3 days! I'm not real sure why they went to Kentucky and Tennessee but they made it here on time! Can't wait to add some new blood to my lines!

It’s damn near impossible to find Cream Legbars around here. I can’t even track down eggs! I’ve seen a few listings for Frost Cream Legbars, but I’ve never even heard of those before so I’m definitely steering clear of that route.
