It's official...We are soggy and soaked around here!

Thank you DONOR🥰🥰🥰
As you all saw in the videos, the barn flooded last night. With more rain coming, I’m trying to prevent it this time. I need 12 sandbags (they’re $7.50 each) if anyone can help. I’d be so grateful.
Total needed $90

What a day.
A massive hailstorm rolled through and dumped so much water that my entire barn flooded — every single stall. I’ve never seen anything like it. The water came down the mountain, pooled across the road, hit that little uphill slope, and then funneled straight into the barn like it had a personal vendetta. But what could’ve been a disaster turned into a reminder of how incredible my people are.Thank you to my donors for providing the shavings that made it possible to get everyone dry and comfortable again.A huge thank‑you and the biggest hug to Kathryn and her daughter Juniper, who dropped everything, grabbed a load of pine shavings, drove up here, and helped me muck out stall after stall. You two were absolute lifesavers.Thank you to August, who showed up even though she wasn’t feeling well. She dug a trench through the alleyway so the water had somewhere to go, helped muck stalls, and pushed water out with the broom like a total powerhouse. My little Evelyn came in and grained the ponies like the champ she is.And Izzy — thank you for filling feed bags and making sure everyone had what they needed once their stalls were dry and ready.I’m exhausted, soaked, and grateful beyond words.
Days like this remind me why community matters so much.
Thank you ❣️
God Bless.

A Huge Thank‑You to Johanna, Max, and Michelle

Before I head to bed, I just want to give a quick shout‑out to Johanna, her son Max, and of course Michelle for all their help yesterday. They folded blankets, cleaned my tack room (it looks AMAZING), helped with end‑of‑day chores, and still had the energy for a quick ride on Mongo and Smoke.

They’re wonderful people with big hearts, and I’m so grateful for the time and care they pour into this place.

Picking all 5 bales Tuesday 🥰🥰🥰
🌾 Urgent Hay Fundraiser — We Need 5 More Round Bales

We’re trying to make it through to June 15th, and we’re short on hay. We need 5 more round bales, and they’re available right now for $150 each — but I have to pick them up on Tuesday, or we lose the chance to get them.

That’s $750 total to keep everyone fed and secure until mid‑June.

If you’re able to help us cover even part of a bale, it makes a real difference.
Donations can be sent PayPal: [email protected]

Thank you for always standing with these horses. Every bit of support helps us keep them safe, fed, and cared for. ❤️

❤️ Dixie’s Beautiful New Beginning

Dixie came to us in December 2024 after a rough stretch in life. She’d had a serious accident the month before, running into a tree and losing teeth, ending up anxious, sore, and carrying a lot of trauma.

Jess fostered her for a full year and did an incredible job bringing her weight and confidence back. During that time, Kathryn was right there at Jess’s, helping Dixie settle in, getting her comfortable with handling again, and working with her so she could stand calmly for trims and basic care.

Bodyworker Sarah Beaty also stepped in to address the pain in her neck and axis that had never been treated. Once those were finally corrected, Dixie softened. She relaxed. She became herself again.

And today… she moved to her new foster home with Rachel — who plans to adopt her as long as she settles in well. We already feel like it’s the perfect match.

Dixie is twenty, healthy, sound, and the sweetest soul. She deserves to be cherished for the rest of her days, and at Racheal’s, every one of her needs will be met.

A very happy ending for a very special mare.

Sawyer left for his new home today… and wow, my heart feels it.
He’s only been gone a few hours, but the barn already feels different — quieter, like it’s holding its breath wondering where that sweet boy went.

But then I picture him at Cathy’s place…
His own feeding station.
Lush green pastures.
A gelding friend waiting for him.
And people who already adore him for exactly who he is.

And that helps.
It really does.

We’re going to miss him — of course we are — he’s Sawyer.
But knowing he’s just four miles down the road, living his best companion‑horse life, makes the missing feel softer.
We can go see him. We can watch him settle. We can still love him from right here.

Today is a good day.
A tender one… but a good one.
