Humid weather can create the perfect environment for fungus, scratches, and irritated skin on horses’ legs. We love using a combination of Chlorhexidine, soothing aloe lotion, and lavender essential oil to help keep skin clean, comfortable, and healthy during the wet summer months 🌿🐴

✨ Why this combination works:
• Chlorhexidine helps reduce bacteria, fungus, and yeast on the skin
• Aloe helps soothe irritation and support the skin barrier
• Lavender essential oil has natural calming and antimicrobial properties while helping repel insects

This blend can be especially helpful for horses prone to scratches, pastern dermatitis, or skin funk from sweat, mud, and humidity. Prevention is key — keeping legs clean, dry, and supported before problems start makes a huge difference!

Let us know if you try this!!!
👉🏻 Always patch test new products and avoid applying essential oils in high concentrations or on open wounds.

It feels like summer has arrived, and we love seeing our horses and riders out enjoying the season together! ☀️🐴 From long rides with your favorite horse to barn laughs with friends, these moments are what it’s all about. There’s nothing better than spending summer days making memories with horses and the people who share the same passion ❤️

Clean water isn’t a luxury for horses — it’s a necessity. 💧🐴

Hydration impacts everything: digestion, muscle function, joint lubrication, temperature regulation, and overall performance. Even mild dehydration can lead to decreased energy, impaction colic, muscle tightness, and poor recovery after work.

A horse can drink 5–15+ gallons of water per day depending on workload and weather. If the water is dirty, stale, or too warm, many horses simply won’t drink enough. That’s why scrubbing buckets, cleaning troughs, and checking automatic waterers daily is just as important as feeding grain or scheduling farrier visits.

Clear, fresh, cool water = healthier horses, better performance, and fewer preventable issues.

When in doubt, dump it out and refill.

Keeping horses relaxed, healthy, and happy starts from the inside out ✨

We love Triple Crown Stress-Free Chaff as a part of our feeding program for extra digestive support and steady energy. This chopped forage blend is designed to promote gut health, encourage chewing and saliva production, and help maintain a calm, focused mindset — especially for horses in training or traveling to shows.

It’s a great way to:
✔️ Support gastric health
✔️ Extend eating time naturally
✔️ Provide low-starch, controlled energy
✔️ Keep sensitive horses feeling their best

A simple addition that makes a big difference in overall wellness 💚

This week we said farewell to one of our University of Georgia students who has been part of our barn family from the very beginning at Full Circle Farm. 🤍

Margo moved to Full Circle Farm her freshman year, and now — in what feels like the blink of an eye — she’ll be graduating in just a few short weeks. We are so incredibly proud of the way she has balanced school, research, work, and her commitment to her horse. Watching her grow through these years has been such a privilege.

While we will miss seeing Margo and Ellee at the barn, we’re excited for this next chapter. Ellee has already headed back to North Carolina, where Margo will join her after graduation. We’re hopeful we’ll reconnect with them at some events down the road!

Congratulations, Margo — your future is so bright, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish. 🌟
