PREGNANCY UPDATE!!

Firstly I want to thank all the new followers and everyone who was concerned about mama Gladys.

For those who were asking, she’s a hairless guinea pig also known as a skinny pig. Guinea pig births can be stressful and even deadly but luckily mama safely delivered 5 healthy baby hairless skinny pigs!! Congrats to everyone who guessed correctly! 2 boys and 3 girls!

Her final weight before birth was 1530 grams which dropped to 930g after the birth. A difference of 600g which explains 5 pups weighing a combined 506g leaving 94g worth of placenta, fluids, etc.
