We are feeling the strain financially right now, but the cats still need us. šŸ¾

So far in the month of May, Little Paws Furrever Kitten Rescue has helped get 37 cats fixed and vetted ā€” and we already have at least 10 more scheduled to be fixed next week.

These cats include community/TNR cats, cats belonging to families we are helping and cats and kittens currently in our rescue waiting for loving forever homes. Every surgery helps prevent more kittens from being born into homelessness and suffering.

To be fully transparent, these expenses add up incredibly fast. The surgeries, vetting, food, litter, medications, and everyday supplies are paid for out of pocket unless donations or supplies are received. We also ensure all of our foster homes have the supplies needed to care for the cats and kittens with them.

If anyone is able to help support our rescue, we would be incredibly grateful. Donations toward vetting costs help tremendously, and purchasing items from our Amazon wish list allows us to put more funds directly toward medical care and fixing appointments.

Meet Issacā€¦ the boy who wasnā€™t supposed to be caught šŸ’”

Issac wasnā€™t the one we were trying to save that day, we didnā€™t even know he was out there!

We had set the trap for a pregnant mamaā€”hoping to get her somewhere safe before her babies arrived. But when we came backā€¦ it was Issac inside. Quiet. Unsure. Watching us with eyes that said he didnā€™t understand what was happeningā€”or if he could trust it. And honestlyā€¦ we donā€™t know what Issac has been through. But you can see it in him.
You can see it in the way he looked at us in those first daysā€”fearful, guarded, like life had taught him not to expect kindness. Like he had been let down more than once.

Even now, thereā€™s still a softness in his eyesā€¦ a kind of sadness that lingers, the kind that makes your heart ache when you look at him too long.
But hereā€™s the part that matters mostā€¦

Issac chose to trust anyway.
Slowly, gently, on his own timeā€”he opened up.

And the boy we met underneath all that fear?
He is incredibly sweet.
He leans into love now. He wants attention. He follows you with quiet hope, like heā€™s still a little surprised that affection is something heā€™s allowed to have. Every pet, every kind wordā€¦ it means something to him.

Issac isnā€™t a tiny kitten. He wonā€™t be the one people rush past the glass for.
He will be overlookedā€¦ again and againā€¦ simply because heā€™s not a baby.

But Issacā€™s heart?
Itā€™s just as deserving. Maybe even more.
Because he knows what it feels like to go without.

He doesnā€™t need a perfect home. He just needs someone willing to see past the age, past the hesitationā€¦ and look into those eyes and say,

ā€œYouā€™re safe now. Youā€™re mine.ā€

Issac has spent his life waiting for someone to choose him.
Weā€™re just hoping that someone finally will. šŸ¤
