PLAY IS MORE THAN JUST PLAY

For a puppy, play is part of the education. 🫶🏻

Those little moments of chasing, wrestling, tugging, carrying a toy, and tumbling over their littermates are helping puppies learn how to communicate, regulate excitement, build coordination, and navigate the world around them.

Play also gives puppies the opportunity to practice something incredibly important: how to be a dog. 🐾

Through their littermates, they begin learning when to soften a bite, how to respond when another puppy says “enough,” how to take turns, and how to recover from excitement or frustration.
