Another successful Des Moines Fish Swap in the books! Thanks Forrest Martinson as always for organizing it. My wife Bethany for helping me bag everything up and also running me some more Purple Mystery snails when I ran out after 90 minutes. My daughter Lydia (Snail Wrangler) for bagging snails and running the cash box. Pure Tropicals for lending me some bags for the extra snails. All the other vendors for helping grow this awesome swap. Last but not least everyone who attends and supports all of us. We couldn’t keep doing what we do without you!

We will have Purple (Midnight) my personal favorite, Magenta, and Ivory available at the Des Moines Fish Swap on 11/1! To say it’s been a successful week in the fish room would be an understatement! Yesterday my Black Schultzei’s (Black Venezuelans) spawned for the first time! The eggs in the video were just the first round, I pulled those and an hour later there were even more eggs on the glass! Best estimate is 150-200 eggs!! This weeks goal is to get a spawn out of the Orange Lasers cw010, since it’s been 6-8 months. And to start getting my auto water change system set up (if the fish let me)!

Nice batch of CPD (Celestial Pear Danio/ Galaxy Rasbora) fry graduating to the grow out tank from the fry tray tonight to make room for the Duplicareus that will be hatching tomorrow!

Pseudomugil Furcatus commonly known as the Forktail Rainbowfish. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite fish! Very active and not one bit shy! This breeding colony is turning out to be quite prolific breeders and I’ve got some eggs waiting to hatch! Pseudomugil eggs take around 14 days +/- so it a game a patience! Stay tuned for fry updates! Also sharing the tank are my potential CW217 hold backs and man are baby Cory’s cute! Still have plenty in the grow out tank looking for new homes so shoot me a dm if you’re interested!
