Meet Tikka 💛

Tikka is a beautiful 9-year-old, pure bred, UKC registered and long-coated female Karelian Bear Dog looking for a new place to call home. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, in great health with no medical issues. She's a mid sized dog.

She has spent her life living outdoors on a fenced acreage, where she’s happiest having space to roam and a job to do. Tikka is friendly with people and has a calm, loyal presence. She may bark when visitors come and go, but it’s just her way of announcing them — she quickly warms up and happily soaks up attention, especially belly rubs and butt scratches.

True to her breed, she has a high prey drive, so she would do best in a home without small animals. She has recall and will come when called… unless there’s a squirrel up a tree, in which case her instincts kick in 😊

Tikka does not have separation anxiety and has lived with 3 other dogs. This sweet girl thrives in a rural or acreage setting and is not suited for apartment or city living. A secure fence and an owner familiar with working or guardian breeds would be ideal.

Due to the passing of her owner, Tikka is in need of a new home. Our goal is to find her a safe, loving environment where she can continue to thrive.

📍 Near Wildwood, Alberta (Edmonton area)
💲 Free to the right home

If you think Tikka might be the right addition to your family, please reach out with a bit about your home and experience.

Let’s find this sweet girl the perfect next chapter 💛

Meet Tango 🐾

Tango is a handsome 9-year-old, purebred male Karelian Bear Dog looking for a new place to call home. He is fully vaccinated, in great health with no medical issues, and is a mid-larger sized dog (about 28 kg). He does have a slight hitch in his gait, but it doesn’t affect his quality of life.

He has spent his life living outdoors on a fenced acreage, where he’s happiest having space to roam and a job to do. He naturally sticks close to the property and doesn’t tend to stray, taking on a quiet guardian role — helping keep predators away so you can feel safe. Tango is friendly with people and has a calm, steady, loyal presence — chill like a male lion, relaxed and observant, but ready to move when needed. He may bark when visitors come and go, but it’s simply his way of announcing them — he warms up quickly and enjoys attention.

True to his breed, he has prey drive, so I he would do best in a home without small animals. He has recall and will come when called.

EDIT: 4/10 We are really hoping someone will come along and adopt this baby, the owners are on the verge of taking her to a shelter.

This is Nova she is a Black/Lab KBD Mix, she is a Halloween baby, so about 6 months old. She is bell trained to go potty. Loves kids and knows some basic commands. Good with other dogs and is partially crate trained. Had her first set of shots, like all KBDs she is hard to recall and doesn't love harnesses and leashes.
She is very affectionate and loving so an amazing dog. So whats the problem, she is a KBD and her prey drive is kicking in and she is getting a little to frisky with her cat brother. She is in Anchorage, Alaska. If you have questions or are interested let us know and we can make the magic happen.

Friends of Sophies, there are several obviously fake KBD groups on FB, i don’t know what the aim is if these groups one is called Rescue and Rehoming Network, no such thing exist other than us. So beware of any group or post you encounter unless it’s from a long standing known Group.
