Well Edna, we made it to the big time! Our goats somehow managed to get featured on the local news. They did great and so did Lauren from KTUU. Enjoy!

The lack of snow in Anchorage isn't bothering one man's goats.

Taking a goat break during work. Graze in January? Sure, why not! 🤷🏼‍♂️. All the cool kids are doing it 🤠

Ranch Life. What does it mean to love your four legged family well? What does it mean that, “A righteous man has regard for the life of his animal…” Proverbs 12:10?

For us…

It means they grow up with grandkids and all the love a kiddo can give.

They have the best toys.

They get the best grain, supplements and hay.

They get to eat your flowers (or lawn) 😏.

They commune with you in daily activities, they aren’t on the sideline, they are part of your everyday movement and interacting with you.

They know their name, because you say it daily and you are there for them. Daily.

You notice if they are shivering. And you tuck them into coats and once in awhile put a little heater in their space to take off the edge of the twenty below zero.

You take time to keep them healthy, deworm them, brush them, trim their hooves and you have a good vet. You do all the regular vet care. All the things.

They live in luxury. The cleanest barn, fresh bedding, cozy straw, a little oasis.

You sleep in the barn with them when they are scared or lonely or need you.

You love them enough to not let them suffer.

You love them enough to let them go.

Ranch life in Alaska can be hard. We all
know that. But what’s hardest is we love hard, so when we lose them, we grieve hard and miss hard.

In honor of John Deere and his legacy with us here on the ranch.

Double Trouble. Kind of thinking they could be featured on Breaking Bad with their unique break-out and break-my-laws skill sets!!

Teach them to love and enjoy four-legged-ranch-family while they are young ~ it will get in their blood😃.
