I am suPURR excited to share that harpurr_kitty_warrior's book is ready to launch as planned for his birthday! I received my corrected copy and it is AMEOWZING!! Tomorrow I will launch the sale through Barnes & Noble Press and it will be available on the Barnes & Noble website.

I am so grateful that they were able to get this to me on time as I had shared his birthday is on August 13th! This is a teaser of the front and back cover.

I will be going live on his Instagram profile tonight to share this update and read the summary. Then I will go live again on his birthday so all of his friends and followers can wish him a Happy Birthday and I can read the book!

Purrecious Ruthie is still patiently waiting to meet you! She has been at the shelter for over a year now! This sweet girl has had a hard run for being just 6 years young and she needs to find a loving home! She was surrendered to our local shelter due to her medical needs. When she was brought to AHS it turned out the diagnosis was inaccurate & she actually has an allergy condition that is treated by eating a prescription diet of Z/D kibble & canned food such as D/D and Purina Sensitive Skin (her favorite flavor being Arctic Char Entree. Since changing over to this food, Ruthie has been doing well with her allergies.She is also pre-stage CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) which is to be monitored with consistent visits to the vet. Ruthie is a charming and very sweet calico beauty, who is hopeful she can find a loving home. She knows her needs are unique, however, nothing would make this gentle, loving girl happier than to have a home to call her own. A home where she can romp around joyfully, have her own purrsonal bed alongside the ones she loves and get all the comforting pets she needs. Ruthie is eager to get the next phase of her life rolling along and we hope that there is someone special who will look at her purrecious grumpy face and see the love she has in her heart. Ruthie does enjoy playtime, however she is much more interested in soaking in the love she can receive. She purromises she will return that tenfold to the lucky family that she chooses to love purrever.
Ruthie is available for adoption at The Alaska Humane Society. The shelter is open during the week for visitation only from 7-9pm, except on Wednesday it closes at 8:30pm. If you are intending to adopt, appointments are still being made on the weekends only. Purrlease call the shelter at 344-8808 & if someone is not there to answer your call, purrlease leave a message & a volunteer will return your call as soon as possible.

If ever there was a gentleman, who will melt your heart with his tender nature, his endless gaze of unconditional love or with his loving touch, Yuki fits the bill! This gentle elder, estimated to be around 13 years strong, was found as a stray and was brought to AACC. There he was drinking and urinating excessively, so AHS was called to rescue. Upon intake sweet Yuki was found to be anemic, his mouth is quite a mess (he has a dental coming up in August) however he was in good health otherwise. You can see by his coat and gentle eyes, that this sweet boy has had quite a tough run. All he seeks out is the comfort of a soft chair or bed, a loving lap, yummy treats and the safety of being indoors. Yuki is doing so well with the other cats in the office, he doesn’t seem to mind anyone’s company. You will often find him nestled up on one of the office chairs, waiting for a purrecious visit. Yuki is extraordinarily special and all we want for him is a retirement spot that will pampurr him. Yuki is scheduled for a dental appointment with the AHS vet in August, however we would love for him to choose his purrfect home where he can get settled, feel comfort, safety and endless love before that.

Adorable Mr. Beast has chosen his loving home! Beast is a vivacious, playful nugget of cuteness that is going to have a feline friend to bond with and people who are going to dote on him purrever. Beast is a bit of a jokester and loves to purrance around with the other cats. We know he will have the time of his life and will bring lots of laughter and joy to his family! Xavion has been pondering what is next for me? I’m such a handsome, loving panther purrince extraordinaire, that there must be someone who will love me purrever!
Well sweet boy, you worked your meowgic! This past week received two ameowzing inquires on our purrecious boy!
Today Xavion met a lovely couple who were smitten before they met him, then that was confirmed when he purred his way into their hearts!
How this made our hearts smile. When we think about where he came from, what he has been through and how far he has come, it tickles us!
We LOVE these transformations and take great humbling purride in seeing them shine with new people.
Xavion is getting himself ready to head home on Thursday to start his home trial!
Purrlease send him and his new family tons of loving support! We are SuPURR excited!!

Oooh Tabasco, you are such a hunk of love! Don’t let this ginger tabby of love fool you with his spiciness, as he is as sweet and humble as can be. Tabasco was live trapped and brought to AHS where volunteers have been working with him to help him trust people again. Tabasco is a very shy, sweet ginger tabby purrince, who will need a very patient and understanding home. It has taken several months for volunteers to earn his trust and now he comes out not only for peacock fun, laser light dancing and treats, he also comes out for sweet, gentle pets. Going slow with him is absolutely imperative for earning his trust, but once he knows you, he will shine! Tabasco will need a quiet adult home that is experienced with shy cats and who also has other cats for him to bond with. Without the purresence of other cats, he may regress and our ultimate goal is to help him continue on this positive path of enjoying social interactions with cats and humans alike. If you are interested in meeting Tabasco, purrlease speak with one of the volunteers who know him well so that they can take the time to have you meet him. We know that with time, love and patience, Tabasco will show you he is purrfectly content and will share his heart with you, purrever.

Teb is a dynamic, joyful, energetic youngster who would be sure to bring delight and fun to your purrfect home. Teb came to AHS after being found on base. After an entire month with no one coming to claim him, he has decided to move on and choose a new loving home. Teb has taught us to let things go & by taking that next step forward he is enjoying every new moment and is embracing the chance to start his next adventure with a home that will keep him safe, loved and purrotected furever. Teb is not only a ton of fun, he loves to zip around the shelter, climbing to all heights, chasing toys here, there and everywhere. He is very affectionate and will even reach out to you with so much love with his extra toes! That’s right he is a polydactyl baby with s***k, charisma and charm. Teb is doing well with the other friendly felines at the shelter, so a home with other kitties (and propurr introductions) may be a purrfect fit for him! Teb being an adorable Siamese mix also loves to snuggle up by your side and share some coffee talk time, so get those mugs filled, cuddly socks on and those ears ready to listen to this cutie-patootie.
