Group field trip day!

Hip and I stumbled onto a left over Christmas photo station and took advantage 🎄He's so stinking cute 😍 We can add the local Petco to the list of places he's braved.

Korra the mini golden doodle is here learning to handle her anxiety and over arousal. We tested her training in Lowe's with marked improvement.

Boomer the Aussie is heading into the final week of his behavior mod board and train and his confidence has grown exponentially!

Bella the Lab is a service dog in training. We're nailing down those foundations!

Check that recall 🔥🤌

Today Hip! the foster puppy explored a new place, nailed his recall, and even greeted another human all on his own 🥹

He's still learning to overcome his initial fear of new people and places but with the help of Valor, Snap & Ninja his confidence grew quickly and it was the first time he truly enjoyed a *new* experience like this 💖

Exposure to the world and having lots of POSITIVE novel experiences as a young pup is a critical part of developing a well adjusted, resilient and confident canine companion. A lack of these experiences can easily lead to the issues we see in a puppy or dog like Hip ❤️‍🩹

It's all about the boys this week!

Beau - mini Aussie - b&t
A fun loving guy learning some manners!

Gus - mini goldendoodle - b&t
He's learning to be brave and reliable in new environments 💖

Boomer - Aussie - behavior mod b&t
He struggles with anxiety and defensive behavior when scared, especially with men. We're tackling his frenetic tendencies and learning to settle and think so he can better process whats going on. The start to true behavior change.

Hip! - Bully - foster
He's only 5 months old and came terrified of life. He also had an extreme fear reaction to people. He's still got a long way to go but his confidence is growing day by day. A trip to the brewery was big for him and he rewarded me with affection seeking and taking food, both of which are a first in public 💖

What are you doing this wintery day? I'm breaking some dogs out of the shelter! The pups are coming with me until their transport date and Red Baron is heading to our buddy Joan for some much needed R&R. He needs to pack on quite a bit of weight 💖🐾

This is my first time picking up a group of friendlies and I'm loving it! They're all so sweet.

Btw, my new (to me) Suburban is so smooth even on the slushy roads. So glad I got it!

Look at that happy and attentive body language 🥹🤩

I originally met Barce the poodle for a social training session at my house to assess if she's actually dog aggressive. She's not but she was very insecure. Of all my dogs she really wanted to be friends with Snap and Valor the most.

Given that she's reactive to dogs in public as well our next step was to meet in town and it became clear she's very environmental and insecure in general. After a couple of sessions of building a functional and fun working relationship between her and her owner I brought Valor in and for the first time we saw that tail come up and that spark in her eye ✨ Her confidence has been building quickly ever since 💖

Genevieve confronts her arch nemesis, the Bissell Green Machine, demonstrating her newly developed self regulation and place skills.

Working with this little lady has been an absolute delight! We've worked through resource guarding, over arousal, bully behavior, defensiveness, and cooperation care, on top of regular obedience training during her behavior modification board and train.

Dogs like Genevieve necessitate a higher level of owner training, which is why today's go-home lesson was so detailed, with a follow-up planned for continued success!

I've decided to open up two board and train slots over Christmas! I'm taking limited dogs in Dec so if you'd like to take advantage of these openings let me know! This is a favorite option for those planning on going out of town for the holidays 🎄🐾

We're already taking bookings for 2026 as well!
