Meet Corbin 🩵🐾

Corbin is a 3 year old mixed breed who is up for adoption through Safe Paws Iowa. Before being rescued, he survived being hit by a car which resulted in a leg amputation. Despite such a traumatic start to his life, Corbin has bounced back wonderfully and is the most gentle tripod ❤️‍🩹

🐶 Dog friendly
👫 Kid friendly
🙌 Crate trained

Likes: 👍
- Chicken jerky
- People watching
- Low stress households

Dislikes: 👎
- Flights of stairs
- Nail trims (needs regular, positive exposure to address this)
- Flooring with no traction

The naughtiest thing he did at my home was steal my slipper (followed by the cutest submissive smile when he gave it back)

Just a lowkey, well mannered young man looking for his person/family 🩵

We had a visit from our favorite “Good Boy,” Buddy! He’s still as sweet as ever, loves car rides, and going to the Zoom Room dog gym in Ankeny. He might be getting a little more gray, but that’s just frosting. Dogs like him come a little bit sweeter.

Buddy has his own page (Buddy “the good boy”) if you’d like to continue following his journey.
Come again soon, Buddy!

Looking for an easy way to help the shelter *and* save yourself a little time? Skip the hassle of waiting in line for your cans and bottles to be counted and just donate them instead!

We have a donation bin at the Can Depot (927 10th St S in Boone) where you can quickly drop them off and make a difference for the animals in our care.

Last month alone, your can and bottle donations raised over $500 for the shelter! Let’s keep that momentum going and make this month even bigger.

Every bag makes a difference—and it couldn’t be easier to give back!

A difficult reality of rescue work is realizing that while the number of dogs in need is multiplying, the number of fosters is not.
Even if you aren’t able to foster right now, there are other ways to support the families who open their homes to dogs in transition:
♥️ Like, comment, and share this post to help reach more potential adopters
💰Support Sweetpea: Help cover Sweetpea’s daycare costs by donating via Venmo:
🗣️ Spread the Word: Tell your friends, family, and coworkers about the work Safe Paws does

Every bit of support helps ensure Safe Paws can continue saving lives 🫶
