Well there’s another fawn in the backyard this morning. 🩵

Yesterday we found one in the backyard, and I almost walked right up to this little one while letting the chickens out.

Could it be the same baby? Maybe. Could it be a different one? Also maybe.

What we do know is that we have at least two does with babies around, possibly three, and apparently they’ve all agreed our backyard is the preferred drop off location.

At this point, I’m pretty sure the deer moms have a group chat and our backyard has been officially designated as daycare.

Sometimes farm life gives you moments you couldn’t make up if you tried.

We found this little fawn resting in the backyard while the chickens stood nearby like Mama Deer had personally asked them to keep an eye on things.

The fawn was perfectly fine, mom was nearby, and the babysitters seemed to have everything under control.

It’s little moments like this that make life here so special. 🩵

Happy 19th Birthday to Rhea.

If you know Rhea, then you know exactly why her owner calls her Queen.

She’s got the personality, the opinions, and just the right amount of attitude to keep everyone in line. Beautiful, confident, and fully aware of it, Rhea has never been one to blend into the background.

But underneath all that sass is a sweet mare who has a way of winning people over.

She’s the kind of horse that leaves an impression, whether she’s striking a pose, giving a look that says exactly what she’s thinking, or simply being her wonderful self.

Beautiful, sassy, sweet, and completely unforgettable.
