Meet Bentley 🐾

Bentley is a handsome, sweet boy currently being fostered and looking for his forever home! He was just neutered this past week. We are fostering him at Thundering Paws as a partner with American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue.

Bentley does very well with other smaller, friendly dogs like himself. He enjoys having canine companions that match his gentle and playful personality. We have not yet had the opportunity to test him with cats.

This good boy absolutely loves to run and stretch his legs outside. Whether it’s zooming around the yard or simply enjoying fresh air, Bentley is happiest when he has space to explore and play.

Bentley is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to please. Chicken jerky treats are his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily show off his good manners for a tasty reward.

Bentley would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered dog to add to their family. 💙

A year ago we were honored to partner with a rescue called American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue as one of their NM fosters. We take these sweet doggies in that have been abandoned, neglected physically and emotionally and work to rehabilitate them and get them prepared for a successful adoption. So far we have completed 3 successful adoptions Tank, Finny and Redford. These poor babies were so neglected and we rescued them from kill shelters around New Mexico right before they were planning on being euthanized. It brings us so much joy to see the most broken down dogs run around happily and be brought back to life emotionally. Here are 3 of the sweet doggies who have been successfully adopted Tank, Finny and Redford 🐶💙🐶🩷🐶💙

Is anyone missing this doggie over on HWY 37 going towards Nogal? It’s hanging out near the dumpster. We’ve been trying all day to catch it but it is very skittish. So scared it’s going to get hit by a car.

Thundering Paws has not closed or shut down despite some rumors online. Our hearts are broken by the flooding tragedy that occurred at Paws on the River in Ruidoso. All of your prayers have been felt and we continue to pray for all the loss. Please continue to pray for the doggies that were lost, for their doggie parents, and for 2 of our own that we were fostering that are still missing. Thank you for all who have reached out to check on us and our staff. Although we are devastated and heartbroken we have felt the prayers from the community and our clients. -Brian and Connie Willingham (Thundering Paws owners)

Bath highlight of the day! This sweet baby got her second bath with our staff today! The first time she got a bath with us she was scared and a little wiggler! today she let our staff bath her like a breeze and blow dry almost her whole body, She is still a little wiggler with the brush out but she has gotten better!
