How about we talk about Myrt’s update? That sassy senior lady went viral with her last video, and we love that you love her! But look at her—she’s amazing, so I see why! From the streets to her pedestal, we love to care for her the way she deserves. She’s been to the vet twice for bloodwork and is currently on pain management for her hips, liver, and kidney supplements to see if we can get her bloodwork within normal range for a possible dental. She sometimes gets the zoomies, loves to snuggle hard, and gobbles her food, helping her gain 2 pounds. She’s living her best life!!! And she loves her daddy more than anything. 🙏🏻🎄❤️

Welcome, Chanda! You might remember her as the mama to adorable 9 black pug babies this Fall. She and 6 other adult pugs were living in a car. She is such a sweet lady who loves her people, is chill but playful, and a very good girl. She is around 2 and completely up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, etc. She would really do well with a family that’s home a lot. She’s a climber and can scale chain-link fences, so she needs a yard with a solid fence. 🩷🩷😜😜

It’s the week of Christmas, and we won’t be adopting until after the holidays! It’s a super busy week with Christmas, vet appointments, and family visiting. Plus dogs aren’t gifts; they’re 10-15-year commitments. 🥰🙏🏻🎄

Good news our parvo girl Candy is home along with her sister Peppermint, who thankfully didn’t develop Parvo but we treated as a precaution!! They are both symptom free, eating like maniacs, playing nonstop and on their way to recovery! Quarantine for them… but it’s a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

Treats are another big motivator—she’ll often sit patiently and wait her turn, hoping you notice her good manners. Oakley follows a strict feeding routine, eating only in the morning and evening, and she does great with her schedule. She’s also a loyal little shadow, padding along behind you from room to room just to stay close. And if someone unfamiliar comes near, Oakley will let you know—she takes her role as household alert system very seriously. With her gentle nature, her devotion, and her endless affection, Oakley is ready to give her whole heart to a forever family. She has so much love to offer and can’t wait to find the person who will cherish her right back.

Handsome Russett is a four-year-old, 12-pound pug/potato looking for a warm, calm place to snuggle in and call home. His person and snacks are his whole world, so he's not super interested in playing with other dogs. He is kennel trained and is working on the dog door. Adoption fee is $225.00.

Wow, what a whirlwind of days! We haven’t had a moment to catch everyone up. But here’s the bright side: Peppermint, Candy, Nick, and Twinkle have heaps of applications! 🎉 We’re also planning several meetups this weekend to connect pugs with potential adopters.

On the downside, Candy and Peppermint are currently in the hospital because Candy tested positive for Parvo. We’re treating Peppermint as a precaution, even though she’s negative. Both have received the monoclonal antibody shot. Given their time on the streets, this isn’t too surprising. We’ve been keeping a close eye on them, and we’re so grateful they’re safe off the streets—they wouldn’t have made it through being sick out there. We caught it early, and we’re confident they’ll be back home by tomorrow or Friday. 🥺🙏🏻

We also welcomed a sweet surrendered 4-month-old female puppy today, Joey! She’s scheduled for a meetup this Saturday with a waiting adopter. She’s all set with her final shots today and is simply adorable.

Plus, we’ve been helping to get a 17-year-old one eyed terrier out of the shelter. One of our wonderful adopters saw her and is determined to give her a wonderful Christmas, free from the shelter or worse. So, they’re heading from Colorado tomorrow to rescue this senior!
