We unfortunately had to say our goodbyes today. We celebrate the long life our beloved eldest pug at The Pug Ranch, and honestly, she’s the oldest pug we’ve ever had the joy of knowing and loving. 💔😢

We bid farewell to a true legend today, our Queen Wilhelmina Violeta, also known as Grandma Willie. She was 19 years and 10 months old! She would have turned 20 in August.

We noticed her little body was getting tired, and the last few weeks, she wasn’t doing so well. It was an honor to care for her for the last five years of her life. She came to us when her beloved human Candy moved overseas and couldn’t make the trip at her age. Her mom has stayed in close contact over the past 5 years too. We send her so much love today too. 🙏

To be honest, we thought when she arrived 5 yrs ago that she might only have a month or two left, but she surprised us and thrived. Even though she was paralyzed in her back legs, she had to be expressed for her bladder, she discovered a wheelchair and got a new lease on life. She was as sweet as she was bossy. Her heavenly departure has left an enormous hole in our hearts.😢

Give your babies extra hugs, belly rubs, and kisses for Grandma Willie. We love you and you will be so very missed. 🌈🙏

Welcome Itzy and Duncan. Both about 7-8yr old and Itzy is sweet, social with a great smile and 1-eye, she is a winking pug! 😉 Duncan is limited sight and so very gentle & sweet just wanting belly rubs & kisses. They do not need to go together, and do great with other dogs & easy going. Tuesday they will get all their necessary medical at the vet. For now, baths and snuggles! 🥰

🎉AVAILABLE PUGS!! 🎉

🐾 Adoption fee is $300 for all pugs or bonded pairs, and $200 for pug mixes and seniors 8 years and older.

🐾 All pugs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and have had their noses (nares) fixed if needed.

🐾 To apply, simply click on the link below: https://app.jotform.com/242708937935167

🐾 If you’ve already submitted an application, please let us know text Tracy 505-525-7602 if there’s a particular pug you’re interested in. We’ll give priority to those who are a good match.

🐾 We’re based in Albuquerque, NM, but we can also adopt pugs out of state. Just a heads-up, you’ll need to travel to New Mexico to bring your new furry friend home. We’ll try to adopt to locals first if a good match is found quickly, as we can’t keep pugs.

🐾 Remind we are taking a break this summer on halting new intakes for June/July and possibly August!

It’s the first week of June, and guess what? We’ve already saved and adopted 75 pugs this year! It’s amazing how a few people can really make a difference. We still have a few pugs looking for homes, some potential meet-and-greets, and a few pugs we’ve already promised to take into rescue.

Yes, we’re taking it a bit easier in June and July because of our schedules and some family trips. We’re mostly trying to slow down the number of pugs we bring in so we can get back on track. But don’t worry, we’re still here, doing all the pug-loving things every day with 14 Senior retirement residents at the Pug Ranch in our home! They’re all between 10 and 19 years old and have all sorts of medical needs. 🙏❤️😅
