*reminder not to park in the dirt lot on the other side of Ross Ave. It is private property and the owner does not want farmers market vendors or customers parking there*

**reminder #2: we will NOT be at the next two markets. But we will be at the September First Friday market.

Ribbon Cutting for New Dog Park at Carroll Park

Alamosa, CO – The City of Alamosa is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly built dog park at Carroll Park on Wednesday, August 26th at 5:00 pm!

The new dog park offers a dedicated space for dogs to socialize and play off-leash. Community members, dog lovers, and all vaccinated and well-behaved dogs accompanied by their human companions are encouraged to attend!

Special thanks to Colorado Tree Coalition (CTC) for their grant funding which supported the planting of new trees in the dog park.

Today began with a scheduled trip to the Vet. Everyone was due for their yearly pokes, and Owen had the additional joy of needing two.

Veterinary expenses can feel overwhelming, especially when you have multiple animals in your life. (Make sure everyone in your life is up to date on their pokes!)

This is largely why, for me, Nealan’s Snack Attack exists!

Four years ago, I got the recommendation that Freyja needed her very first dental cleaning. In the aftermath of her experience and my sticker shock, I made the decision to actually try selling the dog treats I had previously been making for work related fundraisers or “new pet” arrivals for friends and family.

Nealan’s Snack Attack has meant being able to bring Freyja in for additional visits when she was peeing where she wouldn’t, or getting Nealan in for regular pedicures as a preventative measure to address nail breakage.

So while I *did* do a little wincing when paying for today’s visit, and did a little more while scheduling Freyja’s second ever dental cleaning, I did so knowing that I was able to do so because of 4 years of dog treats!
