Armyworms are a familiar pressure in Aiken pastures — but treating them doesn’t have to mean compromising the rest of your ecosystem.

We just published a new blog that takes a closer look at how pasture care is evolving: from expanded treatment options to the importance of soil recovery after control. If you’re managing horse property or thinking long-term about pasture health, this one’s worth a read.

Armyworms are a seasonal threat in Aiken pastures — not guaranteed every year, but common enough to take seriously. When they do appear, they move fast, often leaving visible damage within days. The instinct is to react just as quickly — and that usually means reaching for broad-spectrum, fast-ac...

Drilling’ seed before the rain!

We applied a brand new biological recipe to this pasture so I can’t wait to see how the seed reacts. This product has almost doubled the yield in wheat but we’re documenting the growth and A/B testing against the original formulation in the pasture next to it.

Staying curious is how we push performance and sustainability forward in pasture management.

The best herbicide is right under your feet. If your soil is tired, compacted, or starved for nutrients, weeds will always win.

But when you build healthy, balanced soil, it does most of the fighting for you - and it’s pollinator safe!

Y’all know we love our fish and chips and whiskeyalley brought the heat tonight.

Had a great time hanging out with mrshanif87 for Celebrity Waiter Night and supporting an awesome local charity. As parents, making sure the next generation has the support they need to flourish will always be close to our hearts

Every pasture tells a different story - and sometimes, the best approach isn’t about replacing what’s worked — it’s about refining it.

At Juniper EquiLand, we’ve been using liquid calcium and fertility to support pastures that need a faster, gentler touch — especially on horse properties with sandy soils and sensitive grazers.

We just published a new blog that walks through how we think about timing, soil structure, and forage safety — and why liquid tools have earned their place in the rotation.

Thoughtful inputs. Healthier soil. Stronger forage.

Join Chris & Nicole Johnson of Juniper Equiland as they take you on a walk around their Aiken farm and share what makes their approach so unique.

Here, it’s all about working with the land—not against it. They believe in letting nature thrive, encouraging native plants, protecting pollinators, and creating a space where insects, animals, and people live in harmony.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, they take a thoughtful, intentional approach to land management—focusing on soil health, balanced growth, and using inputs like chemicals only when necessary and with care. The result? Healthier pastures, happier horses, and a more vibrant ecosystem.

Chris and Nicole are passionate stewards of the land, and their love for sustainability shines through every decision they make.

New Blog: The Case for Keeping (Some) Weeds

In our latest post, we dig into the plants that might actually help your pasture—from supporting pollinators to offering hidden forage value. Think dandelion, toadflax, goldenrod… the ones we usually overlook.

This isn’t about letting pastures go wild. It’s about working with the land, understanding what’s growing, and making smarter, seasonal decisions.

🐝 Horses. Pollinators. Healthy soil. It’s all connected.

It’s baby season! Nicole spotted some Dewberry, Hickory - and the Monarch’s favorite host plant, Milkweed in our yard today.

This is amazing stuff that you’d never see without taking the time to look. We pay attention to the little things on our farm and do the same for every program we put together.

Ask about how you can become a certified wildlife habitat too! 🐝🐛🦋
