I wanted to Thank All of the Supporters of Saving The Chain Dogs
And PAWS, Inc.
🐾🙏🏼💕🐾🙏🏼💕🎉🎉❤️❤️
2019 because of you all I was able to take Saving The Chain Dogs and Paws to another level.
We were able to finally start building the Fences that I’ve wanted to build for the last 3 yrs.
It takes a lot of donations and organizing to build a fence on someone’s property for a dog.
Many times I have to go back over and over until I can talk the owners into allowing the help.
Only a hand full of you can actually say you’ve seen what I go thru and how I have to talk to these dog owners.
The kindness and love I have to pour out to people that I really don’t want to like or love in anyway because I feel they are not good dog parents.
My heart has to harden so many times to get thru the pain and tears I see these dogs going thru.
I have to look thru the sorrow so that I can get these dogs off these dreadful chains.
Sometimes it takes me days to make these post because the heartbreak always returns to my mind and heart which makes it difficult to get the words out.
I always thought I was a strong person but in Sept of 2019 I was hit hard with reality, the build up of heartbreak, stress and worry for the dogs suffering in my own County that I can’t always get to and help or that takes so much out of me dealing with the owners that get offended by a simple offer of a free dog house.
The build up of several years of seeing so much abuse and neglect landed me in a Emergency room for the first time ever thinking I was about to die of heart ache. 💔
My sadness is not what I want to express to you today 😩😭💕
I want to Thank you 🙏🏼 from my heart to all the dogs and puppies that you all have helped me save in 2019.
From taking off chains, building fences, rescuing dumplings (puppies) moms with litters, pregnant moms, to poor strays dumped in my driveways, tied to guard rails on my road. Spaying and Neutering Dogs all over The State of SC
I want to express my deepest Thank you and appreciation to you all that donated Funds, Time, Love, Fostering, so that I could Save these Dogs and some Cats.
2020 Has already started off with a chain dog getting a fence and puppies went on transport to new homes in The North. 🎉🐾💕🙏🏼
Unfortunately we also lost one of our Hospice Foster rescues that we took off a chain in 2019 and ran over the Rainbow bridge just 1 day into 2020💔💔

Took houses and supplies to 3 chain dogs today.
Tomorrow we take fencing to start construction for them.
They get pools and new toys and bowls, New collars and fresh bedding straw.

Many have ask about the white husky that was hit by a car on i20 at exit 29 Wire rd Aiken on the early morning of Friday May 31st.
His new name is Veinte
(Veinte 20) cause he was hit on i20.
Veinte is a young male husky pup now fully vetted.
Veinte was severally injured, he’s had surgery on his leg and hip. Some internal injuries that were also repaired.
Veinte had no chip, he has completed his legal Stray hold per county ordinance.
He’s Heartworm negative
Veinte is still in the county shelters vet office healing. He will hopefully feel good enough to leave on Monday.
I’ll be picking him up as soon as he’s ready.
Veinte is going to be in a foster home with a very experienced Nurse that can care for his frail body while he heals.
He will soon be ready for his Furever life

We are going to build a fence for these 2 Huskies.
We’ve been working on this case for over 10 weeks.
Animal control has also been out many times.
Unfortunately South Carolina has no laws to prevent Tethering.
So in order for these 2 dogs to come off these cables we must provide Fence.
We already gave them dog houses, new bowls and water buckets.
Now we need to remove the Tethering by building a fenced yard.
The items we need in the picture is at Tractor Supply.
We need 2 rolls of 100 ft 6ft
Fence, about 50 of the green poles.
A few rolls of the chicken wire.
We would also like to have a couple volunteers to go out and brush the 2 dogs or possibly wash them too. Location Aiken SC (pm me to set up a wash and groom crew) FREE one time only.
With out you and donations we can not build this fence or save these dogs from suffering by way of Tethering.

UPDATE
Safe and out of this situation 🎉🙏🏼
Saving The Chain Dogs was able to get help from AC to get this boy out yesterday and safe.
He was already chipped and neutered.
Turns out he was adopted at one of our local shelters about 2 yrs ago.
He was then given away and there after left behind chained like this.
He’s safe and will get updated vetting thru the shelter and then find a better Furever home.

UPDATE on the litter we received of 10 with no momma.
9 baby’s lived
2 runts are in a foster home being bottle fed.
7 are bigger and doing great with the old hound momma we were able to borrow.
Mom has taken them all well , feeding and cleaning them. The bigger pup is moms pups that she had.
We are supplying foster everything she needs for the baby’s.
We are told that Dad is a Husky. 🐾😍.

We pulled off a huge save here, animal control helped so much.
4 Dogs taken from a home in Aiken after neighbors and members of Saving the Chains Dog found dogs chained in the yard as well as puppies that were no longer alive. The same owner also dumped two puppies that were found by officers. Aiken County Animal Control says she will be facing charges. We’ll have more tonight at 5 and 6.

We make a difference every-time we help or save a tethered dog. Many times we have to take on a path that we do not expect. Hurricane came to us and became Humphrey. Humphrey was sick, he became a journey that all of us traveled. His journey on earth 🌏 ended today, now he will run free with many friends in a beautiful place, our journey continues as we must save again and again.

Baby Abby update. Was able to pick her up a little bit ago. She has a bad case of demodex. They gave her meds and a medicated bath before we left the vet office. She's on meds now as well, she's also on meds to help build her immune system which is very weak. In two weeks she goes back to see her progress. They unable to give anything to try to control the itching but did say she can have a very small amount of benadryl. Precious: news that we did not want to hear. Today precious got her staples removed, her vaccines and was tested to heart worms. Well that test came back positive. She also has a heart murmur. She needs xray and a full blood panel done to determine the best treatment for her at this point. In order to get everything done for her and get the best care to help her live longs as possible and to have a happy remaining of her life. We need help. Precious update: Sorry a day late but I will be posting another update later. We believe precious feels much better. Yes she's in pain but not as much as she was in. She started eating a little bit. Still needs her IV and many antibiotics but she's finally started her slow recovery. Her recovery will be a very long recovery. we now know she will for sure pull thru. She fought the worst battle. She continues to fight. She now looks forward for love. She responds very well when we go in and call her name. She doesn't want us to leave her. She still continuing medical treatment. Update on Precious the starving dog. She's still very weak. She's eating and drinking. She can't walk no more then 5 minutes before she collapse. She can't hold her urine nor her bowel movements. It's like she's a newborn baby. She has to be cleaned up often. Hopefully I soon can give better news. But now she knows we are helping not hurting her. If you can please help with her vetting care. The time she thought she was going to die she was saved. Hiding in the bushes. No where to call home. No one to show her love. No one to give her food. All she could do was hide. Hide from the ones who gave up on her. But she was found from someone that knows it wasn't her time to let go. She was named Precious. Precious is very weak. She can't walk for long. Her eyes she can hardly keep open. We can count every bones in her body. She's not young. Did someone not want her cause she's not a baby. I guess we will never know the answer. All we know she will have a better life and long recovery. Precious needs donations. She needs the help from her followers. As our services is only based on donations and volunteers we need help. There is one less dog attached to a chain. Several neighbors got together to help a dog running loose dragging 4 feet of chain after his owner 'cut him loose'. He slept in my house for one night, was very grateful for the save, and is now getting good care at our local Animal Control. He will make a good pet for someone.

I wanted to say thank you so very much for assistance in getting Athenia vetted last week (the we pup found in the swamp). She got a clean bill of health and went to her new foster this morning. She's such a sweetie and y'all helped her to have a 2nd chance for a great life. Her next stop will be up north I guess with Underhound Railroad. God Bless y'all for all you do :)

Found dog in Graniteville: Male, approx 10 years old. He appears to have hip dysplasia and is missing most of his teeth. He was covered in fleas but an angel gave him an oral flea pill and we gave him a bath. He is currently in our laundry room in a crate but we can't keep him! Please share this!!!!
