Wow! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aiken Horse Park Foundation for their generous donation in May. Your kindness is making a real difference for these horses and programs who need us most.

The Aiken Horse Park Foundation’s mission of “promoting Aiken’s equestrian way of life and encouraging the community’s civic, educational, and charitable endeavors,” is central to every event that takes place at 🐴🐴🐴 One of the ways we fulfill this mission is by partnering with other charitable organizations during our horse shows to raise awareness and funds for their deserving causes. At this year’s Aiken Charity Horse Show in May, the Equine Rescue of Aiken was not only our charitable beneficiary, but also provided volunteers each morning, delivering coffee and breakfast refreshments via golf cart to all the barns ☕☕☕ They’ve also provided volunteers during our entire “Fall in Love with Aiken” fall show series, setting up the Breakfast on the Porch every morning at the show office 🍂🍂🍂 The Aiken Horse Park Foundation is pleased to present the Aiken Equine Rescue with this $20,000.00 donation. We thank them for their incredible work “rescuing and rehabilitating horses that have suffered from abuse and neglect; transitioning Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds and finding them a new career; taking in horses whose owners can no longer care for them; and offering our community educational and interactive horse/human programs.” Thank you Aiken Equine Rescue for serving our community so faithfully and, in the kindred spirit of Bruce, caring for those souls, both two legged and four, that cannot care for themselves.

We could not say no.

Yesterday was one of those days that leaves a mark on your heart forever. We took in 11 starvation/cruelty cases – each one a victim of neglect, each one now fighting for a second chance. We believe one poor horse that arrived has a broken jaw. How can that possibly happen?

Rescue is hard. It’s emotional, exhausting, and often overwhelming – especially when we’re already full and resources are stretched thin. But when we get the call, we have to go. Because if we don’t, who will?

Right now these horses need immediate medical care, nutrition, and safe shelter. These horses are safe now, but they desperately need your help. Please, if you can, Donate today to help us feed them, treat them, and heal them. Your kindness is their lifeline.
