As the Fourth of July approaches, it's important to keep in mind that fireworks and backyard barbeques can be stressful and dangerous for cats! Ensure their microchip information is up to date in the event your cat is lost. Consider closing all blinds and windows and using white noise or leaving the TV on to help drown out the sound of the fireworks. Provide your cat with a distraction, such as a new toy or treat, to help them stay calm. If your cat is extremely anxious during fireworks, call us ahead of time - there are medications that can help keep them calm!
