To the person who let their cat out last night, I saw an owl catch it in the field behind my house! I cried as I heard it screaming as the owl took it away to eat it!! So if you are going to put up flyers and call all the shelters to see if it was found, don't bother, you allowed it to die a horrible death! For what, because it wanted to go outside? Animals don't know the dangers of being outside, it's our job to protect them! No cat needs to go outside!!!!

I agree totally, I just don't understand how you can be a human being. Please stop throwing away animals like they are garbage.

Imagine being the sort of weak, pathetic human that dumps a beautiful little kitten in the public toilets at a rural park.

You would have to be a piece of absolute s**t to be able to leave him there and walk away, especially in the dead of winter.

What you didn’t bank on was the universe providing a kind, cat loving human, stopping to use the facilities and coming to his aid.

He was starving, he nearly took his rescuers finger off when he smelled food. He was cold and frightened and incredibly grateful to see a human.

The person who found him was shocked and upset. Any decent human being would be. He quickly scooped the baby up and took him to safety and then called us.

Thankfully, the kitten appears to be in reasonable health. He is snuggly and loving and definitely used to people. He is too young to have been ethically rehomed so we can only assume that whoever failed to desex their cat and allowed it to roam and breed, believes that animals are disposable and has dumped him instead of taking responsibility for their own failings.

Baby Mickey is enjoying life in his foster home. He has toys and yummy, nutritious food. He has a choice of beds and the warmth of a heater. He has had parasite prevention and is enjoying the safety and love of his foster family.

Mickey got extremely lucky but there are thousands of dumped kittens every year who die because humans are too fu***ng lazy or stupid to do the right thing. Why do rescues always have to pick up the pieces? Why do innocent animals have to suffer and die? Why do those responsible get away with their low acts and never be held accountable? I’m so bloody sick of it!!

Cats reproduce rapidly, with babies able to have babies, which leads to littermates and family members breeding, causing genetic disorders and health issues.
