This week, we proudly recognize and thank the dedicated Animal Control Officers of the Washington County, VA Sheriff's Office for their tireless commitment to protecting the welfare of both animals and our community.

From rescuing strays and investigating cruelty cases to educating the public and ensuring public safety, our ACOs do it all with compassion, courage, and professionalism. Your work often goes unseen, but it never goes unappreciated.

🐾 Meet Knox! This 1-2-year-old Heeler/Aussie mix (40-50 lbs, neutered) is as smart as he is handsome! Friendly, treat-motivated, and full of happy tail wags, Knox is looking for an active adopter who can provide the enrichment he thrives on. Sadly, he was surrendered because his previous owner couldn’t keep up with his energy, but he’s ready to find a forever home where he can run, play, and learn. Stop by and meet him!

Our adoption fee is $75 ($25 adoption fee + $50 sterilization deposit).
