Heat detection among cows in all grazing systems remain the biggest challenge. Cattle exhibit a lot of variation in the way in which they display heat signs. Some are silent but may bleed get metestrus bleeding.other cows are violent, lose appetite and Seeks to mount others. Pinkeye disease: in goats may be caused by viruses, rickets, bacteria and chlamydia. In cattle its due to specific bacteria called moraxella bovis. Mostly, farmers attach the disease to injury and go on to accuse neighbors for hurting their cattle. Dust and injury are predisposing factors. Some call it disease without cure, others use herbs but the best remedy to this is to invite a veterinary surgeon to help u diagnose the problem and give appropriate medication. We had an earlier post of tiger,she was heavily infested by fleas, lost all a fur and body condition was very poor. Ise- vet specialists intervened to save her life. Three months later we went to check on her and we found totally different tiger, happy and now very mindful of strangers. Dear canine lovers, remember to always wash ur pets with recommended shampoo and keep their kernels routinely cleaned and sprayed with acaricides. Hello dear cattle keepers, we advise to always act quickly whenever u notice unusual swellings on your animals. It may either be haniar or an abscess. This is a calf suffering from heavy tick infestation, the type tick here has a mouth part which penetrates deep into the skin of the animal, inoculating parasites into it. Besides transmitting diseases tick bites are very painful and leave permanent scars on it, thus lowering the value of hides. ECF is a deadly disease too if not treated early.
