The rodent knows that there are many people in the forest who like to take advantage of other people's supplies, so if one of the caches is robbed, all the others will remain intact. But the squirrel itself is not deprived of bandit traits. And our heroine dilutes her diet with... meat.

For the winter, squirrels store nuts, which they hide in tree hollows or bury in the ground (sometimes they forget where they hid these nuts and thus new trees grow from the buried nuts).
