Today we share this spectacular work of art from a father and daughter who have exhibiting with the Rotunda for quite some time.

Taurean and Lauri Latchman have given us an abstract mosaic all out of 1 cent pieces!

“Value; Your Two Cents” 2024 - Bronze, copper, tin, zinc 24x30” NFS

Every angle unveils a unique network made up of geometrically layered lines and mosaic shapes much like the many of our stages of life. The light capture from varied angles creates a beautiful life line of these individually placed coins. As the piece evolved, we both realized that each coin was dated to the year of its minting. The collection of these one cent pieces stemmed far and wide to gather as locating them was challenging. They came from all parts of the country.
