Hi guys. With the storm approaching, there might be an increased possibbility of lighting and thunder. Please ensure that you secure your dogs so that they don't injure themselves trying to escape the noise. Oftentimes they get faster and stronger and will do things or attempt things that they ordinaarily wouldn't. Put them in a pet carrier if you have one, put the carrier in a room and play a radio a little louder to mitigate the sudden noise of thunder and lighttening. That will ease their stress level.

It's that time of the year again and inconsiderate people are going to break the law once again by setting off fireworks in residential areas. Fireworks that they bought from inconsiderate vendors who refuse to abide by laws governing the sale of those fireworks. So lots of animals are going to die and get injured as a direct result. Please secure your pets in crates or rooms that they cannot escape from, play a radio loudly as to mask the sudden noise generated by the fireworks. That can reduce the stress suffered by the animals.

Unfortunately that does nothing for the elderly or infants who are also affected by the inconsiderate noise caused by inconsiderate people who have an insatiable appetite to watch things go boom instead of using the same money to help people in need. As usual, law enforcement is going to look the other way and give us lip service via the commissioner in a press conference how they're not going to tolerate fireworks being set off in residential areas.... Smh. I guess there's always hope that one day they'll keep that promise even though it is unlikely to happen under the current CoP as his track record on this matter is clear... All talk....

Please ensure when getting a dog of ANY breed, to properly socialize the dog with all family members that live in the household and to involve everybody in the training process as well to avoid problems and dangers down the road when the dog matures.

Guys and especially Pit Bull and Bully owners, please do not panic, the law has not been proclaimed yet. Please do not release your dogs in panic over it!!! People who do, should not have owned one in the first place! You cannot tell me one minute that you love the breed and then one year later you leave your "beloved" dog to fend for itself on a lonley stretch of road...only unfit and irresponsible owners do something like that and should not be allowed to own ANY dog or other pet for that matter!!!

People make sure when you are traveling for Easter that your dogs have adequate access to water, food and shelter while you are gone. Too many dogs suffer and/or die on long weekends.
