🩵 น้องหมาสูงวัย อารักษ์จึงต้องดูแลใส่ใจเป็นพิเศษ ด้วยการรักษาอย่างต่อเนื่อง
🐶 น้องสิงโต สุนัขพันธุ์บางแก้ว อายุ 12 ปี เข้ามารักษาที่โรงพยาบาลสัตว์อารักษ์ สาขาภูเก็ต เนื่องจากพบว่ามีก้อนเนื้อข้างลำตัวและมีแผลหนอน (เพราะน้องมีขนยาว จึงทำให้เจ้าของไม่ได้สังเกตเห็นแผลมาก่อน) ประกอบกับมีภาวะเลือดจาง เกล็ดเลือดต่ำ โปรตีนอัลบูมินในเลือดต่ำและอาการอ่อนแรง ที่เกิดจากปัญหาทางระบบประสาทร่วมด้วย
👩⚕️ ทีมสัตวแพทย์ได้เริ่มจากการรักษาแผลหนอนก่อน ด้วยการทำแผลทุกวันเช้า-เย็น ต่อเนื่องกันเป็นเวลา 2 สัปดาห์ ร่วมกับให้ยารักษาอาการที่กล่าวไปข้างต้น จนเมื่อน้องสิงโตแข็งแรงขึ้น แผลดีขึ้นตามลำดับ จึงทำการนัดผ่าตัดในครั้งถัดไป
✨ การผ่าตัดนำก้อนเนื้อข้างลำตัวขนาด 20 ซม.ออก ก็ผ่านไปได้ด้วยดี โชคดีที่ไม่ใช่เนื้อร้ายแต่อย่างใด ทำให้ปัจจุบันน้องสิงโตกลับไปสดใส วิ่งเล่นในสวนทุเรียนได้อีกอีกครั้ง คุณพ่อคุณแม่แฮปปี้คอยรายงานเราอยู่เรื่อย ๆ เลยค่ะ

🐶 Singto, a 12-year-old Thai Bangkaew, was brought to Arak Animal Hospital, Phuket branch after a lump was found on his side along with a maggot-infested wound. Due to his long fur, the wound had gone unnoticed by his owner. Singto was also diagnosed with anemia, low platelet count, low blood albumin, and general weakness, likely related to a neurological condition.
👩⚕️ Our veterinaries began by treating the wound first, performing wound care twice daily — morning and evening — for two weeks. At the same time, Singto received medication to support his underlying conditions. As he grew stronger and the wound improved, we scheduled a follow-up surgery.
✨ The 20 cm mass was successfully removed from his side — and thankfully, it turned out to be non-cancerous. Today, Singto is back to his happy, playful self, running freely through the durian orchard once again. His pet parents still keep us updated with heartwarming progress reports!
