We are at 40% of the goal! Thank you so much. Every little bit helps a whole lot. We are getting very close to the departure date and so many more expenses coming up. I really need your help because there is no way I can leave little Joey behind.

This is Nak Su right out of surgery yesterday. They say he is doing good but getting more information out of them is a tad tricky.

Can’t wait to have his butt home!

UPDATE: Nak Su’s surgery was a success! He will not lose his back leg and that is great news! The surgeons were able to install plates into his hind leg and put his front leg in a cast.

We will get more details tomorrow since the surgeons had many surgeries booked for today and not much time to chitchat chat.

Nak Su went into surgery a few hours ago, we are just waiting on an update from the surgeons!

Great news from the vet hospital!

Our brave handsome boy is calm and relaxed, not showing any signs of stress even though he is caged in some unknown environment full of other animals and people he doesn’t know, he has great appetite and is eating well, he is quickly becoming a crowd favourite with the hospital staff being his cheeky, charming self.

They say is is strong enough for surgery tomorrow! We will be on pins and needles until they let us know he is out of surgery and doing well.

For the next ten days, he will remain in hospital where he will start healing and where they will observe him, his movements, balance, coordination and walking abilities to see if he needs the neck surgery or if he can have a good quality of life without this risky highly specialized procedure.

We can’t wait to have him back home with us! He looks happy somehow. I swear this dog is not only impossible to kill physically but also impossible to break mentally or emotionally!!!

Nak Su the warrior protector sure wears his name well.

Hello everyone!

We are looking for a 2 bedroom house from May 9th for at least 3 months. We would like a dog-friendly furnished home in the Thong Sala area. If possible, we would prefer a fenced-in garden. The house must be at ground level or have minimal stairs since Nak Su will have just gotten major surgery on his hind leg. Our budget is 30,000thb.

I am a dog trainer and keep my dogs quiet and well-mannered. We can also offer a separate dog security deposit.

Good day everyone. Our brave Nak Su had his big consultation with the specialists this morning! He was calm and a good boy all the way through, we are so proud of him.

He will not need any surgery on his head but he will undergo a procedure called osteosynthesis which is a surgery to repair his back leg with plates and screws. We are very pleased that he will not lose his back leg after all. He will stay at the hospital for about 10 days after his surgery.

However, they cannot repair his displaced first cervical vertebrae, that can only be done in Bangkok. They will be monitoring him and determine if his movements, walking and coordination are impaired to decide whether he can live comfortably with his head tilted or if it is a danger to be paralyzed at some point. If it can be left alone, we will not put him through a risky procedure but if there are risks to not fixing his neck, we will wait a couple of weeks to let him rest and then take him to Bangkok to be operated on.

We will keep you posted as we get more information. Thank you for your continued support, we really appreciate it. Thanks to you, this boy is given a second chance at life!
