Three months ago, we adopted Alenka. She already came with a good base, but she still had to learn our daily life: potty training, staying calm, waiting at the gate, and not jumping out of the car. The best part is how much joy she brought. She makes Sandy more active, is the perfect playmate, and loves cuddling with humans. In just 3 months, we already shared so many nice moments together.

Friday at AnyHound with Sandy, Alenka and Heidi.

Running, playing, rolling, and doing all the important dog things. Some days are not about training. Some days are just about letting them be dogs, enjoy the space, and have fun together.

Heidi fitted perfectly into the chaos, so this one belongs on both profiles.

Some days are just about running, getting wet, and being happy dogs.
Sandy and Alenka had the best time outside, exploring the grass, playing around, and looking way too proud of their muddy wet faces. These two are very different, but together they make every dog-friendly place in Thailand more fun.
Small adventures like this are exactly why we love taking them with us.

A few weeks ago, Sandy and Alenka were fully ready to chase this cat.

So we started far away and worked step by step. Every time they focused too much on the cat, I redirected them back to me.

Now they can stand closer, stay on a loose leash, and still listen.

For me, this is real dog training: small progress, repeated many times.

Sandy joined me at a Thai Buddhist monk ordination ceremony in Nonthaburi. There was loud music, dancing, people everywhere, and later the quiet part inside the ordination hall.
For Sandy, this was not just a ceremony. It was real-life exposure training. Staying calm in loud and busy places is also part of the journey.

Platform training looks easy, but for Alenka this is still a difficult task.
Today she made a small but real step forward and finally placed both front feet on the platform. It is not perfect yet, but this is how confidence building in dog training often looks: slow, small, and a little messy.
For harder tasks, I like to use higher value treats, Sandy and Alenka loves the fish treats from Cane Yummy Treats.

We went to Pet Expo 2026 for two days with Sandy and Alenka. We parked at Benjakitti Dog Park, walked to the expo, met many friends, tried nice products, and had a lot of fun.
The walk before entering was especially good for Alenka. She had time to calm down, go toilet, and arrive in a better mindset. And honestly, she did better than expected in all the noise, smells, dogs, and people.

Alenka finally got her first own harness, with a matching collar and leash from HUNTER.
Until now, she was using Sandy’s old gear, so this feels like her little “big girl” moment. German quality, clean design, and hopefully strong enough for full Labrador chaos.
