After 11 years of rescuing stray animals, we now have to leave our facility.
The good news is, we’ve started building a new sanctuary — thanks to the support of people like you. But we need more help to turn it into a true home for the animals in our care.
🙏 Please donate if you can: https://give.asia/campaign/rescue-p-a-w-s-new-home-fundraiser #/story

📢 This little pup arrived with no time to waste. We rushed him straight to the specialist even before we had a chance to name him.
At just a few months old, we suspect he’s battling hydrocephalus, a painful neurological condition where fluid builds up in the brain. This causes pressure on his brain, leading to severe headaches, dizziness, and difficulty walking. Despite everything, he still wags his tail and tries to play. 💔
Without urgent care, the pressure on his brain could continue to build, causing unbearable pain, loss of mobility, and irreversible damage.
Uniting for Thailand’s stray animals! Today, we had the privilege of hosting Happy Doggo at our facility. We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership, working together to create a better future for street dogs. Thank you for believing in our mission and supporting our cause! 💛🐾🩷

We found Florence in Pranburi, alone and helpless. Whether she was abandoned or born on the streets, we’ll never know. But what we do know is that she is very, very sick.
Florence’s belly looks big, but it’s not from food. She’s suffering from severe anemia caused by blood parasites, making her weak and drained. Her liver and spleen are swollen, and fluid is leaking into her abdomen. Every breath, every tiny movement, is a struggle.
She is in critical condition, and the next few weeks will be crucial. Right now, she is under 24/7 care, receiving fluids, medication, and gentle hands to comfort her.
💛 Send Florence your love as she fights for her life. She’s not giving up—neither will we.

Here is Dr. Cooky taking a little self-healing time after performing four major surgeries—including two tumor removals, one of which was significant (as seen in the second picture)—and an amputation, all on top of completing 20 sterilizations a day.

We said goodbye to Ben after three amazing months of volunteering. He trained and cared for our dogs, forming a special bond with so many of them.
Thank you for everything, Ben! You’ll always be part of the Rescue Paws family. (Not crying… okay, maybe a little.)

Our Story...humble beginnings
Rescue P.A.W.S. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of stray animals in Thailand. Our facilities are based in Khao Tao, a small fishing village roughly 3 hours south of Bangkok, Thailand.
From humble beginnings in 2013 as a simple feeding program, the organization officially came into existence in May 2014, when The Global Work & Travel Co., based in Australia, and XploreAsia, based in Thailand, generously made funds available to erect 12 kennels and equip a small clinic with basic equipment.
Rescue P.A.W.S. has since grown exponentially into a fully fledged animal relief organization, targeting the stray animal problem in the Hua Hin region of Thailand through sterilization and education.
Our organization is operated by a small team of full-time staff and a group of volunteers who carry out day-to-day activities. While some volunteers are trained animal care specialists, volunteer vets and vet students, others are inexperienced but passionate animal lovers seeking a unique travel-abroad experience.
Based on temple grounds in the beautiful Thai village of Khao Tao in the Hua Hin district just south of Bangkok, our facilities include 12 kennels, a play area and a clinic to perform surgeries.
From these premises we coordinate and conduct sterilizations, vaccinations, and administer parasite treatment for abandoned and mistreated stray animals. Our team also ventures out to the surrounding villages to perform fieldwork.
In addition to our mission to reduce the stray animal population in Hua Hin through sterilization and education, Rescue P.A.W.S. also facilitates local and international adoptions. All too often, animals are dumped on the temple grounds or are not healthy enough to safely return to their pack. When tragedies like this occur, our staff work hard to treat these animals and help them find loving and permanent homes.
At Rescue P.A.W.S., we are passionate about encouraging and promoting animal care and animal welfare through comprehensive educational campaigns in local communities and schools. Through our award winning volunteer program, Rescue P.A.W.S. fosters local & global civic engagement by actively engaging volunteers from all across the world.
