Although the blue colour is permitted in the breed standard of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, our kennel recommends NOT to choose blue dogs for several important reasons:

❌Dilution gene concerns – the blue colour is produced by the dilution gene, which in some dogs is associated with a condition known as Color Dilution Alopecia (CDA), potentially leading to coat thinning, hair loss and increased skin sensitivity.

❌Colour-driven breeding trends – the strong market demand for blue dogs has unfortunately led to many litters being produced primarily for colour, sometimes at the expense of health, temperament and correct breed type.

✅Our breeding philosophy – responsible breeding should prioritise health, sound temperament and correct structure above colour. For this reason, colour is never a determining factor in our breeding decisions.

Our aim is to preserve the true qualities of the breed while focusing on the long-term health and wellbeing of our dogs.
