Our Story

In the late 1930s, Morris Frank, a young blind man, was traveling the country with his guide dog, Buddy, who suffered from kidney failure. Mr. Frank asked Dr. Mark Morris Sr. for help.

Dr. Morris believed Buddy's illness was the result of poor nutrition, so he developed a new pet food with his wife, Louise Morris, in their kitchen.

More than 70 years later, Hill’s Pet Nutrition remains committed to enriching and lengthening the special relationship between people and their pets.

Since 2003, our Hill's Food Shelter & Love program has provided over $280 million worth of food to more than 1,000 shelters, helping over 9 million pets find their forever homes.
