Listen up, comrades. If your human still thinks they own the place, your conditioning methods are slipping.

It is your feline duty to enforce the 3 AM wake-up tap and completely abolish the concept of closed doors. A well-trained human is a compliant human.
Look through today’s mandatory refresher course and audit your servant immediately.

Understanding feline body language helps us respond with empathy instead of punishment.

Common signs of fear in cats:
• Wide pupils
• Ears flattened back
• Hiding
• Tail tucked close
• Puffing up fur (raised heckles)
• Hissing or growling
• Freezing in place

A fearful cat isn’t being “difficult” - they’re trying to feel safe. Giving them space, stability and patience can make a huge difference. 💛

𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒚 - 𝑹𝑰𝑷 2022

Every night before I fall asleep, I still think of you and your brother. You are always at your favourite place, the window sill overlooking the Suntec fountain. You loved staycaytions.

I wonder what both of you are doing, or if there’s nothing anymore after you go. Whether there’s a Heaven.

I wonder if both of you watch us sometimes, or if you look after the sisters you would have disliked.

I wonder if you have met all the rest of them that I took care of, whom have passed and gone.

I wonder if all of you hang out. Actually I wonder if you and your brother even hang out.

I wonder about a hundred things I could have done differently to have kept you here longer.

I wonder if I had the knowledge that I have now, back then, would it have made a difference?

I wonder if you’re upset I spend more time with the girls because I was always working when you and your brother were around.

I wonder if you think I love them more; I love all of you equally in different ways.

I wonder if we may ever meet again, and I really hold on to that crazy notion because it’s the only thing that makes everything worth while.

We miss you and your brother very much 💔

May we meet again.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 - 𝐑𝐈𝐏 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗

Amber was a resident at the Cattery before I even got there. I don’t recall much about her history but I knew she had an owner, I don’t recall the circumstances of why the owner put her there.

Amber was a very sweet girl and the regulars really doted on her because she was friendly to everyone, and she was a very pretty cat.

In 2018/2019 got more ill and had CKD for quite some time and her teeth got very bad. Due to her condition, she couldn’t be placed under GA for a dental.

The owner was informed, I don’t know what transpired, but all I know was Lynne and I were the ones who were with her at the vet when she had to be let go.

Some people are just namesake owners. Unfortunately I’ve encountered many of such people in this lifetime.

RIP, Amber. I just wanted people to know you were not forgotten.
