Get • Had Manzu’s post-death AC with her last evening. Generally, I don’t, or if I do, I wait until at least 2 weeks later.
But since Manzu’s passing on, I hadn’t been sleeping well - I had nightmares, or I jolted awake at odd hours. I knew Manzu had something to tell - the aura at home was dark, gloomy, a little sinister, and this is very unlike the usual calm, peaceful aura in the Loh Household.
I bought her 6 sunflowers (harmony, peaceful transition) to go along with her during cremation because I already felt that she needed this, when she took her last breath.
Manzu had a lot of grievances. The moment Charlene connected with her, Manzu unleashed. She agonisingly asked, “Why? Why after I try so hard, I still die?”
And horrors... Manzu thought TH and I euthanized her, and not that she passed on herself. She was very upset and angry over this.
We explained that we did not, and she passed on herself after taking the “last breath”. We held her paws while she did, to let her know we were there for her. She mistook because, even at her very last breath, she was still fighting to live on. She imagined a painful death, so she did not expect that her passing on was that peaceful and pain-free, hence the misunderstanding.
After the explanation, Manzu apologized and said “thank you” for extending her life by 3 months, and letting her have a feel of what she never had before. I told her she now has our surname, and she was quite happy about this too.
We also told her how proud many of us are of her - there were praises about how a good fighter she was, how strong her willpower was, and most importantly, how we celebrated her relentless fight against her ailments.
Her emotions significantly changed after this. She was very pleased, knowing her effort to fight against whatever killed her was recognised.
After the session, the aura in the Loh Household also went back to normal. And yes, I finally slept well last night.
