To our regular shelter volunteers - thank you for showing up every week, without fail. From scrubbing down the shelter and washing dog beds, to taking the time to walk, shower, rehab, and care for each rescue… you make a bigger difference than you probably realise.

And it’s more than just the time, labour and extra treats - it’s the patience, the love, and the familiarity you bring that truly brighten their day 🐾

We have some wonderful news to share.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Lucky’s vet bill has been fully cleared. 🎉🐾
When we first shared about Lucky’s bill, we honestly didn’t know how long it would take. But you all showed up — some of you quietly, some of you generously, all of you with so much heart. We are deeply moved and grateful beyond words.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Ocelot 🤍

Ocelot was rescued as a young puppy, only a few months old.
This year, he would have turned 11.

From the very beginning, Ocelot was different.
Gentle, sensitive, and deeply fearful of the world around him.

He was especially afraid of ropes and leashes —
so much so that in all his years, Ocelot was never able to go for walks.
The outside world was simply too overwhelming for him.

But in his own quiet way, Ocelot found comfort.

He watched the world from a distance…
found safety in familiar corners…
and learned to trust, little by little, on his own terms.

Every small moment — sitting calmly, resting peacefully, choosing to stay —
that was Ocelot’s version of bravery.

On 23 March, Ocelot passed on.

While his world may have been small,
he was deeply loved within it. 🤍

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to his sponsors,
who stood by him through the years and gave him the care, comfort,
and dignity he deserved.

Because of you, Ocelot never went without.

🐾 Update on Lucky’s Vet Bills

Many of you may remember Lucky, who was hospitalised at Barkway Veterinary Clinic late last year.

Despite undergoing treatment and being discharged, Lucky sadly passed away shortly after. Her loss was heartbreaking for all of us, but we are grateful that she was given medical care and love in her final days.

Lucky’s treatment cost a total of $2,841.70. With the help of some kind supporters, we have managed to pay part of the bill.

At the moment, the remaining balance is $1,682.10.

Running an independent shelter means vet bills like these come directly from our limited funds. If anyone would like to contribute towards clearing Lucky’s remaining bill so we can focus our resources on caring for the other dogs currently under Forget Me Not, we would be deeply grateful.

🐾 In Loving Memory of Lucky
Forever part of the FMN family

If we were to describe Lucky in just one word, it would be Chilli Padi 🌶️
She was feisty, bold, and never one to give in easily — and that was exactly what made her unforgettable.

Lucky adored her caretaker, Ray, at the shelter. With him, she found trust.
And whenever Dennis brought her for vet visits, that fierce girl would soften into the sweetest little one — a side of her only those she loved were lucky enough to see.

After being discharged from the vet last Sunday, Lucky came home to the place she felt safest — the shelter, where she was loved, known, and understood. Just two days later, she left us peacefully.

Run free, Little Feisty Girl.
Go find your buddy Tommy, and keep shining that fiery spirit of yours.

❄️ Jumping on the AI-snow trend…

Even in the cold, a little love can keep their hearts warm. 💛

This season, you can help us continue providing our rescues with a safe space, comfort, and food by sponsoring one of our shelter dogs.

We’re currently seeking monthly sponsorships so we can focus more of our fundraising efforts on their rising medical costs with our limited resources. Any amount works, you don’t need to cover the full amount!

🐶 We have 6 dogs at The Animal Lodge. Each dog costs $430/month, covering food and boarding.
🏠 Katniss, our sweet girl, is at a home-style boarder ($300/month), where she’s finally found comfort among other boarding dogs - the closest thing she’s had to a real home.
🏠 Gal Gal and Ocelot are in foster homes for extra care and medical needs. Sponsorships for them go directly toward their food and medical expenses, with any balance channelled to other shelter upkeep costs.

Sadly, many of our rescues are still not fully sponsored and some remain at $0 sponsorship. 🥲

💛 Forget Me Not Shelter Tees Fundraising – Update [till 5th November ‘25]💛

Every name here represents kindness, compassion, and hope for our shelter dogs 🐾

Through our tee campaign and heartfelt donations, we’ve sold 49 tees and successfully raised $2,348 — enough to almost cover October’s boarding for the pups under our care.

Each purchase and contribution, big or small, helped us make this possible. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand by us — you’ve made tails wag and hearts heal 🐶💛
