Alice successfully passed the IASF Lantra Accredited Stage 3 Saddle Fitting course AND the IASF Stage 4 Advanced course.

Alice decided to become a saddle fitter due to learning the negative effects of poor saddle fitting whilst producing her own young horse.
Alice knew that her “naughty, tricky” behaviour was NOT because she was a young sassy mare, but in fact it was partially due to discomfort and pain that she had been subject to whilst Alice was unaware. Once Alice knew this to be the cause for her mare, her whole way of viewing horses under saddle changed for the better.
Running a livery yard and being a freelance groom highlighted the need to educate horse owners about the implications of poor saddle fit. Alice was keen to teach the reasons as to why horses change their behaviour and attitude towards work, when ill fitting saddles are not addressed.

Initially Alice joined the IASF on a one day training course to further her own knowledge.

Alice says

“I thoroughly enjoyed the course, the team were welcoming and had a clear depth of knowledge that they delivered in an easy to understand way. I was sold after that day to complete my professional training with the IASF”.

With Alice’s experience from a young teenager of backing, breeding, working on international dressage yards, running livery yards, being a freelance groom, we wish you the very best of luck to continue all of the above whilst also being a brilliant professional saddle fitter……. Well done!! 👏🥂
