Кошка дважды помогла обнаружить рак у своей хозяйки.
Необычное поведение кошки жительницы английского Лемингтона спасло ей жизнь. Мисси начала лежать у нее на груди, а ранее ластиться не любила. Оказалось, что Анджела Тиннинг испытывает боль в этой области, поэтому она решила сходить в больницу. Врачи обнаружили предраковые клетки, которые вовремя удалили.
Но этим удивительные события не закончились. Спустя 2 года у Мисси опять поменялось поведение, из-за которого англичанка вновь решила пойти в больницу - перестраховаться и пройти диагностику, хоть ее ничего и не тревожило.
В ходе повторного обращения женщины в клинику был обнаружен рак. Маммологи в этот раз определили, что необходима мастэктомия (удаление молочной железы). Они также добавили, что что ситуация могла быть хуже.
Интересно, что Анджела в благодарность своей кошке выдвинула ее в номинации «Кошка-герой» Национальной кошачьей премии (National Cat Awards).

Angela Tinning wasn’t sure why Missy was being odd around her and lying on her chest but noticed that there was some pain. She went to see doctors and was eventually told that pre-cancerous cells were discovered so she had an operation to have them removed. Missy is not normally a friendly cat so it was odd that she started lying on Angela Tinning’s chest (Picture: NCJ Media) Missy started acting in a strange manner again two years later – this time it was diagnosed as breast cancer (Picture: NCJ Media) But two years later Missy started behaving oddly again and this time she was told that she would need a mastectomy because she had breast cancer. Angela, who is 45 and from Lemington, Newcastle, said: ‘I had heard of dogs having an instinct that their owner was poorly but never heard of cats, but something was just not right. Girl, 14, still missing two weeks after getting off train with two men ‘My cat is not loving and is quite feisty so it was quite strange behaviour. She was lying on my chest and was touching the same area as before. ‘I thought I’m not leaving this at all. I went to the doctors and they carried out a biopsy.’ The cancer was caught early, but had it not of been for Missy it could have been months before there were any signs of the cancer and Angela was diagnosed. Angela says that Missy saved her life by helping to diagnose her cancer early (Picture: NCJ Media) Angela, who nominated Missy for the Hero Cat award at the National Cat Awards, said: ‘There was nothing there at all. When Missy jumped on my chest that was my indication. ‘If I had waited it would probably have been a tumour that you could feel and probably would be over a very, very large area. ‘I don’t think if it was for her, I would have gone for a long, long time.’ Angela is now raising money for, Breast Cancer Care, and will hold a Big Pink party in October. She said: ‘Breast Cancer Care is such an amazing charity, and the care, support and information they gave me was invaluable. Big or small, the money you raise through your Big Pink party will help Breast Cancer Care to transform the lives of people affected by the disease, like me.’
