What you need to know before you decide to bring a new member in your family
The advantages of adopting a pet are multiple, I`m going to keep it short as we all know most of them.
You get to experience the beauty of unconditional love, reduce your stress, walking a dog gives you the opportunity to meet more people, go outside more and experience the the world together. A cat purrs at a frequency that reduces your stress. When my cat sleeps on my chest and starts purring, I instantly get sleepy and relaxed 😊
Owning a pet prepares you for children, it might sound silly but sometimes a pet requires more responsibility than a child since a kid grows and eventually learns to do things by himself , a pet never does, it`s always your duty to take care and make decisions for them.
However, there are things to consider before getting a pet. Before you decide to bring this little bundle of joy in your life keep in mind that this decision will affect at least 8-18 years from your life, as some pets can live a very long life. In time they will most likely need veterinary care that being a simple yearly vaccine or an unfortunate accident, to getting old and needing investigations, costly procedures and treatment on a daily basis. Sometimes it`s not all fluffiness and cuddles. Sometimes it`s vomiting all over your house, getting into the garbage/eating chocolate or other things that they are not supposed to. Sometimes you can try your best to train them but they are just stubborn and they might keep certain unwanted behaviours. So think also about all these things to avoid sad situations as having to rehome them.
